About
Desert Mirage Golf Course offers a public, nine-hole course and a fully stocked pro shop. The course has a traditional design but that does not mean it is boring. It is perfect for squeezing in a quick game or for beginners and kids. The course is relatively flat, but there are some hills on the course that can affect shots. The greens are medium sized with some slight undulation and the generous fairways are wide open. There are also water hazards and bunkers that come into play on a few of the holes. Desert Mirage Golf Course's signature hole is the par-4 ninth. It requires a tee shot over a lake to an island green.

Great executive course!
Always enjoy playing a round of golf here! Staff is very friendly and helpful! Great overall value. Pace of play can be hit or miss depending on the crowd level, but that is to be expected. Most of the time pace of play is quick.

Address the Turf
This little executive course would be a lot more fun if they'd address the turf situation. The greens fees are low, so they might not have much to work with. Still, it can be done.
One thing I'd recommend is going to desert landscaping for all but landing areas and approaches. Or, at least, approaches for the par-3 holes and perhaps 150 yards in on the par-4s. Stop watering and trying to grow grass in the areas people aren't playing anyway, and focus on the areas where shot conditions matter.

Best course for practice.
This course is great for practice. Staff is always friendly. I love that the range is grass. I wish eventually they redid the cart path but I’m not upset for the price.

Beginners Course
The tee boxes are in bad shape, I'm going to assume summer rates are set to begin. A lot of 1st time every golfers out there, don't know the rules of the game so you need to very patient.

I payed for 3 people, but only 2 played. Brother is a truck driver and had mechanical problems and got stuck. Course said to take it up with Golf Now for refund. It's only $22 but would be nice to get a credit or refund. Thank you.

Friendly for beginners
Great course for beginners and great bargain to learn. My son and I enjoyed it. Staff was super friendly and even offered junior rates. Range was decent to practice.

Ho Hum
The golf course it located in a neighborhood near the stadium. It is an executive layout with 5 par-3s and 4 par-4s. The layout is pretty straight forward. The staff are extremely friendly and the nice lady behind the grill will prepare good food for you. This is a very unpretentious place and would rate higher except.....
The turf. The turf conditions are horrible. The greens are good enough, given the low-cost nature of the course. But the fairways are not. At all. They're bare or thin almost everywhere, making it difficult to make good ball contact.
As you go around the west side of the driving range on Hole #4 there is another teeing area for the range. (Going back towards the clubhouse.) The turf there is really good; the difference is like night and day. So, they can do it. Why don't they? Costs, probably. It's likely their typical clientele won't make the distinction anyway.
I have an individual Callaway hitting mat I use on some driving ranges. I may play a round from it and see if it changes my perception of the course.
