Desert Mirage Golf Course

I played this course a few times in 2002, 2003. It was an inexpensive way to get a quick 9 holes in but the course itself wasn't in very good condition back then.
I tried it again a few weeks ago for the first time since way back when and was pleasantly surprised. Lush and green now, it's like playing a completely different course. I've been back three times in the past two weeks.
My only complaint is that they might be watering too much. There's standing water in spots in the middle of the fairways, it gets a little soggy at times, and the greens are a little sluggish.
But definitely 100% improvement from what it was and still a great way to get a quick 2 hour practice in.

Great 9 hole course. Good facility, great price and friendly staff that are always willing to give you tips to improve your game. I play this course three to four times a month. Good course to work on your short game.

This is my favorite course primarily for it's practice facility. Range balls are one of the best values and you can wear yourself out with the large bucket and if there's two or more of you get the jumbo bucket and share. I don't normally play the coursebut for $5 Hot Deal through GolfNow and I had the course to myself it was a great way to work on the short game. Greens were a bit dry but ran true. Fairways were wet as 'tis the season here in Phoenix. Always a great, courteous staff at Desert Mirage.

Great little course to practice without the pressure of being pushed.

This is a great course. The quality of the greens and the fairways show the care of the owners to offer an excellent course for a great price.

Course was in excellent condition, greens firm but holes cut on odd slopes today. Always a fun round at this 9 hole tract. Most disappointing thing is the restaurant is now closed-nowhere to go after a round but leave premises.

Overall this course is a great little course to walk when you don't have a lot of time and want to get in 9 holes. For a small course though it is very well manicured.
The fairways are plush and not too weedy. The greens are amazing, they actually hold a iron shot to within a couple feet of your divot and roll at about a 10 to 10.5 rating. You can really go at the pins and not worry about running the ball past the hole 12 to 15 feet.
I'm not a scratch golfer by any means but I do love to play this little course. I would recommend it to anyone. It is a par 31, 9 hole course and well worth the money.

Made reservations on Golf Now for 15+ dollars. Got there and rented a cart to ride and two waters, and the price was $23.00 on top. Not sure what the price of everything, but my partner thought that was high for jut the cart and two waters. Not sure if they still charged for the round???????

Easy course to play- greens are in great shape. Staff was friendly. Good value for the money.

I had a great time playing this course. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the course was in good condition, especially the greens. I would highly recommend this course for beginners, people looking to work on their short game and anyone wanting to get in a quck 9. I will definitly return.

It was my wilfe first time playing, the course made it very pleasurable, pace of play was great and conditions where good, some areas of over watering but not bad.

By far one of the best Par 9s in the valley. The greens have been excellent lately. For the money you can't beat it.

We went on a special, so the price was right, weather was beautiful, and we are average golfers, so it was just right for our skill level.....

Greens are in excellent condition. The staff is very friendly. The website does say the range is open till 9pm, but when we showed up at 7, they were in the process of closing down. Luckily the guy there said he had to do some more closing duties and gave us a large bucket for free and told us to swing away.

Only negative is the size of the facility. They have to have backstops on some of the holes and they overcharge on their carts ($16 for 2 riders) luckily though it's small enough to walk comfortably and play 9 holes in about 1.5 hours.

This was a nice, well maintained executive course. Nothing tricky or too challenging. The greens were in outstanding shape! I don't mind playing a course if it is a little rough around the edges but do not like rough or choppy greens. These greens were exceptional for this kind of course.

Perfect golf course for a beginner as well as a seasoned golfer. The course offers playability for the beginner and skill practice on a short game for the seasoned golfer. The staff each time has been friendly and welcoming.

I have played a great deal of courses in the valley in the six years I have lived here and just discovered Desert Mirage. Nine hole course in a neighborhood near the stadium on the west side that is fun to play. You can par this course!. You don't have to be a low handicapper. There is water that comes into play on nine but that hole could be a birdie hole with shot placement. The layout if your walking is a little confusing but once you figure it out you get some good exercise. They have great food in the clubhouse and the pro is super friendly and helpful. I think I saw $5 dollar pitchers of beer advertised. This is definitely on my list of of courses to come back to to get in a quick round with nice green conditions

The course is obviously seeing more attention. Fairways are in good shape. Great place to practice your irons!
