About
Junior National Golf Club (formerly known as Tres Rios Golf Course at Estrella Mountain Park and Estrella Mountain Golf Course) is rich with dense forestry including eucalyptus, mesquite, and pine trees as well as cottonwoods. The course has a parkland-style layout with rolling fairways lined with trees and undulating greens that are medium-sized and fast. To add more challenge to the golf course, water hazards and bunkers come into play on several holes. The par-4 seventh hole is considered the most difficult driving hole on the course. There are stately trees off the tee and the second shot is to a narrow sloping green. Junior National Golf Club features multiple tee boxes for a variety of different golfing options.

No safe during pandemic
In the current pandemic situation, Tres Rio has decided to charge an extra $5 per person to have their own cart. Every other course in the area promotes players to not share carts to keep everyone safe, yet Tres Rios is all in it for the money. VERY disappointed in this decision. I will go to Wigwam, El Mirage, Sundance or Coldwater to golf safely and pay less at a much better course.

We are doing everything we can to allow our guests the chance to complete their rounds and finish in a reasonable amount of time. The course was not in great shape
There were quite a few rough/dry patches on almost every fairway. Very hard hit with little grass underneath your ball.. No sand in any of the bunkers. The greens were very slow and bumpy. I was very disappointed in the shape of this course.

Tres Rios play
Tres Rios is a very fun course to play, it has everything you want as a goler. If you hit the ball long it plays great, has really good par 3's. You can't beat the affordability of this course.
The greens are better than most expensive courses

Still in good shape.
Very few playing at 7am. Course still in good shape. As always try to stay in the fairway. LOL Have fun. Great price.

Good for the price and would go back
Sometimes hard to tell where the next tee box was. Most greens really thick grass some were a little worn down. Good value for the price and would play here again.

Tres Rios
The course is in fabulous condition, fairways are green, geeens are in really good condition. If you like playing the long ball there's plenty of holes and if you like shorter holes you get them also.

Course Sucks
This course needs some serious work. Greens were thick then bald and patchy. Grass wasn’t mowed anywhere outside of fair and finding balls was impossible. Course Lay-out was alright and the carts were so slow, I could have walked faster. Hot Dogs were 4.50 and sub par. Course seriously wants to make you quit golf.

Always enjoy this course. Can’t afford to play here most of the yr but when prices drop I live to play here!

Good value
Tres Rios is a fun course that poses its challenges. Keep it in the grass or you have tree trouble or hitting out of dirt. Some greens need some work as there are some dead spots. But this is an affordable course and fun to play. I wish they would not raise the cups and instead use foam inserts or turn the cup upside down.

They wouldn’t even give you a pencil,
They won’t give you a pencil. Fairways where either dry and hard causing balls to bounce funny or over grown slowing down low runners. Greens where hard, but slow very sandy very. Haven’t played there in years. Will be a few more before I go back.
