About
Junior National Golf Club (formerly known as Tres Rios Golf Course at Estrella Mountain Park and Estrella Mountain Golf Course) is rich with dense forestry including eucalyptus, mesquite, and pine trees as well as cottonwoods. The course has a parkland-style layout with rolling fairways lined with trees and undulating greens that are medium-sized and fast. To add more challenge to the golf course, water hazards and bunkers come into play on several holes. The par-4 seventh hole is considered the most difficult driving hole on the course. There are stately trees off the tee and the second shot is to a narrow sloping green. Junior National Golf Club features multiple tee boxes for a variety of different golfing options.

It could be a nice course
The course is neglected, basically rundown. Management doesn't seem to care. Sometimes pace is okay, sometimes it is really slow.

B4 Thanksgiving
The course was in good shape, greens and fairways , but there were many totally bare spots. Also the rough “ was rough “!!! Overall though it was worth the price paid to play.

Disappointed
We have played this course occasionally over the past few years and feel that conditions are gradually getting worse.

Improving Course
Staff is great, no cart girl. Course much improved. Wide open no cart restrictions, bunker new sand has been prepared and raked, very nice. Greens still need a couple of weeks to fill in from over seed. Fairways in great shape. Enjoyable day.

Vastly Improved
Carts are required to ride on path or the ruff. Being the fairways are not wide it is not far to your ball. Common winter ruff dead grass. Fairways and tee boxes are in great shape. The greens probably have another couple of weeks to fill in, but play just fine. This is the best I have seen this course in quite a few years.

Overseed
Nothing worse than booking a time, coming out to the course and THEN finding out it's cart path only. Would have loved a heads up ....

Not worth the money
The beer is $5 a beer. Half of the fairways are dead. The only friendly people was the front desk girl kaiti and the gentleman who helped get our dead golf cart. We had two golf carts die on us, the oversight manager wasn’t friendly at all and the markings for what tee box and what hole was where was very mismanaged. Will be the last time I play here especially for $35

Tres Rios
More dirt then grass on the course. Greens were in terrible condition. Many were patched with dead grass. Sprinklers were running on half of the fairways all the time we were playing. Some areas were flooded with standing water.

They’re trying, still horrible
They are trying and it’s dirt cheap (emphasis on dirt.). Aside from conditions (which are still awful) you never know what you’re going to get in front of you and around you. Slow play is one thing .. players skipping a couple holes and plopping it in front of you is another. That’s the Tres Rios Crapshoot. The course will always be cheap goat track golf .. that brings out the lowest common denominator in players. We’ve had hole skippers, shirtless drunks, cart demolition derby all around us. While they are trying, we’re done trying.

Hi, we are sorry that you had a poor experience with us the other day. We hope that next time will be better.
First off my friends and I enjoyed playing a round of golf together. However, we wanted to buy drinks in the Bar & Grill after our front nine but it was closed for business. We were then asked to cut our round short because the only staff member there said there was a computer issue and the course needed to to be shut down by 12:00. So we made it through the 15th or 16th and returned to the club house before 12:00.
Good for the price.
Played via Golfnow app for cheap. It was 110F, so it was expected that the course would be dry, but it was fun! Interesting design and challenging without being overly difficult. Would definitely return!

Golf in the field
If you want to play a cheap round of golf simply for the sake of practice this is the course to play on the west side.
The entire course including the greens were very dry.
The greens and the fairways were well maintained with the exception of an extreme lack of water.
Compared to the other courses in the area this one could use a lot more watering.

Garbage
This course has gone down hill for years! The course was in horrible shape aside from aerification. The greens were absolute junk and the fairways were disgusting...My expectations were not high but for god sake IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF YOUR COURSE TRES RIOS!
