About
Unlike many other courses in Phoenix, the course at the Toka Sticks Golf Club was not done in a traditional desert-style. It is known amongst locals for having very fast greens, many of which are elevated. The old Toka Sticks course was originally a nine-hole course built in 1945 but in addition to making it an 18-hole, championship course, it has had many renovations in the years since to make it a more challenging and interesting course. There are stately trees present on the course call for straight shots in order to reach the narrow fairways. Two lakes are situated on the course that create water hazards that come into play on sever holes. There are also several well-placed sand bunkers throughout. Toka Stick Golf Club also offers a short game area, a putting green and a driving range.

Nice course if you have the time
Loved the course layout. Wind made the day extra challenging. Greens looked bad but rolled nicely and were a pleasant surprise. Will come back when not so windy. Slow day with several groups on every hole all day.
-Not under course control: played behind the must good old boy, male chauvinistic, obnoxious female bashing, knuckle dragging foursome I’ve ever been around. They were involved in a dozen altercations due to their screaming obscenities at other groups female golfers. They just laughed and high fived each other as the other groups drove away. They were playing the wrong set of tees and easily lost a dozen balls each. Please leave your cash and return to Alabama soon.
Nice course
Most holes were wide open so hit away with driver. Couple of real pretty par 3s. Some protected greens but sand is not in the best condition at this time. We had a great round today and definitely would go back.

all I can offer is an excellent time at the course and goof company
Was disappointed to se a group of six playing together in front of me and another group of five behind me. The course should have kick them off the course.
Arizona golf
Toka Sticks has improved the pro shop and cart barn with new construction structures. #1 hole is now the former #10 hole. At has been a while since I have played here. There are challenging holes for every level of player. The course was in excellent condition and they greens were consistent through the 18 holes. Even the sand traps had sand in them!! Definitely will play again. One of the better priced courses in Feb of 2021.
First time at this course.
Relatively good value for the money spent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Price appropriate for course layout and conditions.
Nice, small, parkland-style course
This is a fun little course. It’s not too tough, and there isn’t much trouble to get into, but the small greens make it a good challenge. My only complaint is that the course was definitely overwatered in places, with lots of mud present around tee boxes, cart paths, and low areas.
Winter time in AZ
This course is in good shape. For this time year this is the best course for the money. The only bad part is the driving range.
