About
Unlike many other courses in Phoenix, the course at the Toka Sticks Golf Club was not done in a traditional desert-style. It is known amongst locals for having very fast greens, many of which are elevated. The old Toka Sticks course was originally a nine-hole course built in 1945 but in addition to making it an 18-hole, championship course, it has had many renovations in the years since to make it a more challenging and interesting course. There are stately trees present on the course call for straight shots in order to reach the narrow fairways. Two lakes are situated on the course that create water hazards that come into play on sever holes. There are also several well-placed sand bunkers throughout. Toka Stick Golf Club also offers a short game area, a putting green and a driving range.

Pace of Play
Multiple groups on more than half of the tee boxes, pace was so bad we quit after nine holes
Well managed, average maintenance
Course was very wet in spots. Greens were average/spotty.
Very Wet
The course was in decent shape although it was VERY wet from overwatering (too wet). Greens were ok but could be better if lazy people would take the time to fix their ball marks. Cart attendant very nice.
Nice for all skill levels
Nice course. Challenging for beginners and seasoned players. As most courses would like to see players fix their ballparks. Greens were good speed but some were like a minefield
First time
Not a fan of the layout, good course if you like to easy straight golf. Fairways were long and straight, Green were easy to read. No challenge, I expected more for the rate we paid. I would only play here again if I was taking someone who was just learning how to play. Good beginner course.
Toka Sticks
Course was in good shape , but there are very few yardage makers so make sure you have range finder.
If you want a adult drink beer is way over priced 5 dollars for a beer,
Course has alot of mature trees , some smaller greens but over all it was good place to play

Nice wide open course. Liked the greens. Faster than they look and nice layouts. About 4 hours so it much waiting. Good value
Worst customer service
First to tee off of the day at 8:20am, by hole 11 first gentleman came by and said pick up the pace ( mind you we haven't seen anyone behind us all day). Hole 14 another gentleman comes by and says my boss advised me to tell you guys to pick up the pace, again have yet to see anyone behind us waiting. Hole 17 again a different gentleman comes by and say same thing his boss told us to speed it up. Pretty much ruined the back 9 of the course. We had Carts returned and in clubhouse by 12:15pm. 3hrs and 55min 4some round on a 6700ft course doesn't seem too bad to me. Will never play here again or advise anyone to play here.
Always an enjoyable course.
It's a fun course, some easy and hard holes but overall, a very fun course that I always enjoy playing.
