Continental Golf Course
About
The executive-length course at Continental Golf Club is a popular choice due to the friendly staff, convenient location, and challenging game. The course features undulating greens that are in excellent shape, as is the entire course. Unique mounding surrounds the narrow fairways. A drainage ditch and two lakes also come into play on the golf course. The signature hole is the par-4 18th hole, which calls for not only a tee shot but also an approach shot over water. The course plays fast but it is still quite enjoyable. Continental Golf Club also has practice facilities including a large driving range, putting green, and practice green.

Great executive course.
Have played this course many times over the last 10 years or so. It is always well kept, the greens and fairways are pretty nice. The price is it is a big plus very reasonable.
The course is usually crowded even on weekdays during g the Winter.. Pace of play is good even though crowded.
Course has an excellent driving range and practice area.
Pace of play was horrible. Greens were nice, tee boxes laughable! Dirtiest carts I’ve ever seen! Employees are nice!
Tee Boxs--Disappointing
As with many public course in the Phoenix area, Continental's tee boxes are uneven without any reason other than an apparent lack of interest by the management/course maintenance staff. Without a great deal of effort, the tee boxes could be easily flattened, which would also be beneficial cutting the teebox grass--mowers don't cut uneven areas well.
.
Disappointed
I knew when I booked the tee time that this wasn’t a high quality golf course. The problem was that I booked (and paid) for 18 holes. When we arrived we found out the manager had scheduled a shotgun start scramble on the back 9. When I asked what that meant for our group when we rounded 9 and his response was, “you won’t finish 18 holes anyway.” Likewise, we waited 30 minutes past our tee time just to get carts because they were prioritizing the scramble event. When I went back to the clubhouse and questioned the professionalism of the situation he scoffed at me and said we were the unprofessional ones to because we showed up only 10 minutes before our tee time.
It’s really unfortunate what has happened to Scottsdale, AZ. Golf has gotten so expensive that the average joe can no longer play any course with decent quality. My overall advice is to pay to play the higher quality courses if you have the money and if not, consider a different vacation destination for golf.
Great course, however....
We really like this course, however the staff should start to increase the time between tee times. Very slow pace today....and given what we paid, became concerning with the slow pace in front of us.
And having one person tee off and their ball rested against our carts, wasn't impressed.
We will be back, but something for the management to be aware of.
Thanks....
Overbooked
Play was extremely slow. Waited more than 3 minutes at each tee box players were not at fault. Arrived for 3:00 pm tee time to find 4 carts waiting at first tee.
12 par threes, 6 par fours. Every tee box is bowed. Not a flat one out there.
Green surrounds have some grass. Greens roll okay.
Good course to warm up on.
Staff was good, beer was cold.
nice executive course
i liked Continental because i needed to work on my irons plus i could walk to it from where i'm staying..
it has a variety of par 3's & six par fours. only demanding hols is 18 which is a dogleg par 4, water down the right side and need to cross to the green. Greens and fairways were in great shape, some tee boxes patchy and uneven.
staff was friendly, prices are very reasonable, i'll play Continental again when i'm in Scottsdale.
Um....
There's no such thing as a flat tee box. We also didn't research enough to realize it's mostly par 3's. Great staff!
We. Waited 30 minutes to tee off due to them overbooking this public course oh! And this is on a monday. Not weekend. Not fun to golf. Trying again soon to see
