Continental Golf Course
About
The executive-length course at Continental Golf Club is a popular choice due to the friendly staff, convenient location, and challenging game. The course features undulating greens that are in excellent shape, as is the entire course. Unique mounding surrounds the narrow fairways. A drainage ditch and two lakes also come into play on the golf course. The signature hole is the par-4 18th hole, which calls for not only a tee shot but also an approach shot over water. The course plays fast but it is still quite enjoyable. Continental Golf Club also has practice facilities including a large driving range, putting green, and practice green.

Needs work
Greens not well maintained and Tee off boxes Horrible
Play Was Too Slow
Nice executive course with decent winter rates, pace of play was much too slow, it should not take 4 hours to play a par 60 course, I don't experience this issue with other exec courses, the staff is helpful and friendly, the problem may have been caused by 3-4 foursomes involved in a "skins game", they started around 12:30pm., this may have slowed the entire afternoon groups following them, if money is on the line I'm sure they didn't play fast, very poor scheduling by course mgmt.
Don't play yellow balls on #1 & #9
Good short course that I would play again even if it wasn't with my wife or grandkids. Only complaint is in my review title- Optic yellow balls flood the PAR-4 fairways of holes 1 & 9. Good time!
Horrible experience at the diner
I am a frequent player at Continental. It is a very convenient executive course. The tee boxes however deserve a lot of care, some literally on the sand with no grass. Others are positioned in actual ramps with no flat surface. Inexcusable. Easily fixed by better positioning the tee marks. Some of the staff are really nice. But our recent experience at the diner was simply disastrous. The gentleman in charge was rude and decided not to honor our promotional meal voucher never giving us the benefit of doubt, in a ridiculous accusation that we were after “free food”. I can totally understand that sometimes it is needed for whatever reason to clarify doubtful situations. But there are civilized ways of doing it. Harshly requesting me to show my Arcis card is not one of those. Total lack of customer services skills and actually offensive.
Take the Afternoon
This is a fun beginner course, so plan on an entire afternoon. For a Par 3-4 course, it shouldn’t take 4.5 hours to play a round but that’s what you get with this cheap short course.
Great little course.
Nice place, mostly par 3’s and a few par 4’s, staff was super nice, fun place to play a quick 18.
Value course
For the money you won’t get better than this. The only downfall is that there were balls everywhere from the driving range in the front 9. However if you survive, the back 9 is great. Pace isn’t great but not horrible.
Going downhill
31 December was definitely not a good day to play. It normally takes about 3 hours to play this course. Today it 2 hours and 30 minutes to play 9 holes. The greens are in good shape and on most holes there is decent grass within 30 yards of each hole. However, the remainder of the course is in terrible shape. The tee boxes have really deteriorated recently. Most have very little grass and most have a significant crown. Very disappointing when you can’t find a flat lie on a tee box. Can no longer recommend playing.
Play was very slow. Also impossible to hear announcements about groups who should be teeing off. Also there was a long wait for carts.
Course needs work
Have played Continental many times, but the owners have let the course go downhill. The tee boxes are all torn up, the greens need work.
They are making money with their rates and full tee sheets. They are not putting into course maintenance. It is still a fun course to play, but needs work.
