This beautiful facility is located on 270 pristine acres at the North end of the Grand Strand. Blessed with a unique topography and large mature trees, the course meanders down to the inter-coastal waterway with scenic vistas to distract you at every turn.
This 6900 yard Clyde Johnston design is owned and managed by the same group that developed the fabled Heather Glen links and the service you have grown to expect from this organization is evident the moment you drive up to the clubhouse. Give this course a try the next time you vist the Myrtle Beach area. You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful course
Beautiful but difficult if you miss the fairway. Staff very courteoys.
Beautiful holes especially on the intercoastal
Very nice course with tall trees on both sides of fairways. Greens were in great shape they rolled well not as quick as I thought they should be. Fairways cut tight. Fun course you cannot bomb it, must think it through wether to lay up for next shot.
Outstanding finishing holes
Sitting in the rocking chair overlooking the intercostal reminds me of the ocean course at kiawa island SC
GD is one special place
Slow
Got started about 20 minutes late. Waiting for groups to play through. Very slow front 2:45. Great on back. A very nice layout. Probably not good for high handicap
Repeat Track
I played last fall and really enjoyed the staff as well as the course layout.
Awesome views
Course was in very good condition. Fairways a bit thin but will fill in soon with warmer weather. Greens were fantastic not much movement and makeable speed.. great character in the holes. Very different and challenging.. course offers a different experience from most area courses.
Nice track
This is the second time I played this course. Very nice layout. The conditions off the fairway hopefully improve which will make for an awesome course
Great course
We played this course on a beautiful day which made the scenic beauty of the course even more enjoyable. For the most part the fairways tend to be narrow so it challenges your accuracy. . The deep bunkers and waste areas force you to really think your shot.. It doesn't happen often but the tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great shape.. The staff were very rfriendly. We look forward to playing this gem again!
Play Glen Dornoch
Glen Dornoch has a wonderful layout. The greens also roll very true. We played Man O' War, Arrowhead CC, Brunswick Plantation, Heritage and True Blue all in one week and I would put Glen up there with Heritage and True Blue. The last three holes are so fun and challenging. Best finishing holes I have ever played before and I have played Sawgrass, Torrey Pines and Streamsong. Recommend going here and also hit the Calabash Deli along the way before your round. Great bfast and lunch spot before you have this foray.
Nice but disappointing roughs
The greens and fairways are nice, but the rough is a lot of deadpan. I don't think they overseeded this year. I got a good deal on Golfnow for 50 dollars, but there regular rate of 125? No way it is worth that. I live here and there are much nicer courses for that much money, but worth 50.
