Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Links
About
This beautiful facility is located on 270 pristine acres at the North end of the Grand Strand. Blessed with a unique topography and large mature trees, the course meanders down to the inter-coastal waterway with scenic vistas to distract you at every turn.
This 6900 yard Clyde Johnston design is owned and managed by the same group that developed the fabled Heather Glen links and the service you have grown to expect from this organization is evident the moment you drive up to the clubhouse. Give this course a try the next time you vist the Myrtle Beach area. You won't be disappointed!

Be prepared to be challenged
Played this course for the first time, and found it to be in very good shape. Fairways and greens in good shape although a couple of greens were looking a little burnt out. They provide a yardage book, which was very helpful, but playing with someone who knows the course was very helpful. You can get into trouble very quickly if you don’t have course knowledge. It’s a fun, challenging course and I will try again I am sure. The views on the holes along the waterway are beautiful.
Course was not wet
The course doesn’t issue handicap flags or honor any handicapped persons this should be looked into and a suet ought to be filed on the behalf people.
Tough
This course isn't for the faint at heart! It's a positional golfers dream with tree lined fairways and a bombers nightmare with waist areas within reach. Course was in pretty good shape. Tee boxes were somewhat high. Fairways were in good shape and greens rolled true. Probably the toughest 3 finishing holes at the beach but incredible views! Wouldn't recommend for beginners but it's a good, fair challenge for experienced players.
cart path only
this course is a bear if you can only use cart paths only
Poor customer service from the starter
My husband and I arrived 30 minutes prior to our tee time. 15 minutes before our tee time, we were told we were up next. The starter then decided to put 3 guys out in front of us. One of the guys said his tee time was 1 hour later and wanted to know if they had an earlier opening. We waited behind them all day!!
Very disappointed! Woman play good golf too!
Disappointed
The best thing about our round was the breakfast sandwich before we started. We were told the greens were punched on the 16th what was good to go when we played on July 6th. That was not the case. The greens were very bumpy. I am 50 years old and been coming with my family every year since I was 3. We play at least 3 times every week and this is one of the worst experiences. DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE! Our group has 3 single digit handicappers and not one of us played within 5 strokes of our handicap.
overpriced, should have offered aeration special
greens had large tine aeration recently and were very bumpy. Course staff mentioned it to us at check in but it was not noted on TeeOff.com when we booked in advance, and I would def not pay $68 for those conditions had we known.
Out of towner
Double stacked tees led to 6.5 hour round of golf. Greens rolled nice but needed some work soon
Overbooked
We booked for 18 holes and it took 3 hours and 20 minutes to get through the first 9 holes. There was a group of 24 players ahead of us and we were atleast 8 people deep at every hole. We left after 9 holes as we didn't realize the scheduling was so poor and didn't have 7 hours to play 1 round of golf. In the future, they may want to think about leaving a few unfilled time slots after a large team of 24 players have been released onto the course. Very poor scheduling!!!!!
