Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Links
About
This beautiful facility is located on 270 pristine acres at the North end of the Grand Strand. Blessed with a unique topography and large mature trees, the course meanders down to the inter-coastal waterway with scenic vistas to distract you at every turn.
This 6900 yard Clyde Johnston design is owned and managed by the same group that developed the fabled Heather Glen links and the service you have grown to expect from this organization is evident the moment you drive up to the clubhouse. Give this course a try the next time you vist the Myrtle Beach area. You won't be disappointed!

Good course
Tough back nine but balanced out by front. Lot of carries over marsh that may be a problem for some women. Staff was great.
Beautiful views of Little River
Course was in good shape .greens were very smooth and quick. Crowded but fun day.
Challenging and well maintained course right on the water.
Very nice course
Decided to play different courses this trip and found a good deal on a tee time at Glen Dornoch. Friendly staff greeted me at the bag drop then checked in at the pro shop who was very helpful giving me pointers for today’s round. The yardage book was a bonus because I forgot my Garmin device. As for the course, conditions were very good. Greens rolled true, fairways were well maintained and most tee boxes were in pretty good shape too. A couple of the tees were a little spars but didn’t really have an impact. Some areas were a little wet like a few sprinkler heads were left on a little too long. All in all, I would definitely play Glen Dornoch again. Oh and pay attention when playing #9 and #18. You’ll find yourself getting lost with the beautiful views!
Nice course in good condition
We played with someone who knew the course and that was helpful. The staff gives you a booklet with course layout and recommendations. Great views of the intercoastal on a few holes.
Playing at the beach
Played on 9/20/2021 for first time and holes 16,17 and 18 were the most unique holes I have played in a long time. The course had character that made you think on many shots. The greens were slow around 9 but rolled true. Many of the holes were very wet in front of the greens and ball would plug if you landed short of green.
Glenn Dornach
Not a course I’d recommend to a golfer with a handicap over 20
Back 9 is tough
Nice layout , beautiful playing along the Inner Coastal
Tough course
Fairways and approached very wet so not much roll. Aesthetics were awesome being on waterway. Too many carries over marshes for senior players. Greens average but would hold a shot. Speed a lot slower than they looked. Senior players do not need a 515 yard par 5 or several 350 plus par 4’s.
Beautiful Views
Tough course, with some good holes on the waterway. Not too long, but you need to hit it straight. Overall greens in good condition, fairways and tees have some sparse areas but not bad. Very playable. There was some type of tournament in the morning which delayed start by 20 minutes but we moved around in a reasonable 4 hours. All and all a nice round.
Course was extremely wet. Several tee boxes were casual water. Grass was sparse on the boxes as well. Easy to hit fat shots with large divots in the fairways. Course claimed extremely hot weather as the reason. Such a thing as too much water!! Frustrating.
