Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Links
About
This beautiful facility is located on 270 pristine acres at the North end of the Grand Strand. Blessed with a unique topography and large mature trees, the course meanders down to the inter-coastal waterway with scenic vistas to distract you at every turn.
This 6900 yard Clyde Johnston design is owned and managed by the same group that developed the fabled Heather Glen links and the service you have grown to expect from this organization is evident the moment you drive up to the clubhouse. Give this course a try the next time you vist the Myrtle Beach area. You won't be disappointed!

Nice track
First I would like to thank the head pro. He called me 3 days prior to playing and informed me they had punched greens. We decided to play anyway. Course is definitely a special place to play. Loved the layout and design of the holes. The entire course was fun. Now understand the greens had just been punched so they were exactly what I expected but the course itself was a pleasure to play and I expect to be playing it every trip I make.
Ken
I played here twice this week. Greens were just aerated and the pro called me to let me know. Very considerate.. GrllTh3 greens fee was heavily discounted. I love this course. The layout is outstanding. There are so many beautiful holes.
Great course
This was a great course to play. The pro was amazing. Even called me after booking to let me know the greens were just aerated. Very rarely does this happen. Place of play was a little slower than I am used to but I did have a later tee time than normal too. I would highly recommend this course to anyone in the area. Was definitely worth the price. I made sure to play all over the course with my 82 score. 😂
Amazing value
Great layout tucked away with holes running along waterways. Well maintained and very forgiving. Friendly staff and the nicest marshals. Really appreciated that they called and told us the greens were punched before we got there.
No Sand Bottles
The course has a great layout conditions were good. They did punch the greens. It would’ve been nice that they would let you know on the Golf Now at the one thing that I was disappointed in. They have no sand bottles on the golf carts and my ball landed, and I like to play by the rules so I played Three as it lied and it cost me a Penalty, I don’t know why they don’t have sand on the cards?
Love Glenn Dornache
Great course.with awesome scenery over looking the intercostal waterway
Pace of Play and Course Condition
Every hole was backed up took over 5 hours to finish round. Too many players being booked by management. Greens and tee boxes are worn out. Course needs a refresher from cart paths to club house.
Length of play
Longest round of golf I have ever played almost 6 hours lots of tee box waiting
Scenic perfection!
As soon as you arrive at the bag drop, you’ll feel like you’re in the right place! Friendly staff, beautiful, and I mean absolutely beautiful scenery, coupled with amazing, fast but fair greens, you can’t beat it. Will absolutely be back, thank you Glen Dornach!
Great afternoon on a lovely course
A very pleasant round overall. Course was in great shape. Pace of play was ok considering how busy our day was. I would recommend this to Friends.
Challenging Fun
Fun track to play from all sets of tees. The greens need some work to be smoother. Overall I love this course. The finish is some of the most fun but challenging holes so keep your focus. The course books they hand out help immensely.
Not worth the $$
Was ok to play, layout was good, greens below average. The cost for this course is too high. It’s an $75 course at best. Grande Dunes is exponentially better for the $$. Eagle Nest and Man-o-War are also just as good and way cheaper. Saw beer cart just one hole.
Paying for history
Everything started off normal, arrived 40 minutes early to hit some balls and putt a few to loosen up. I went to the pro shop and found a huge room with bare minimal golf shirts and nothing else. The shirts were displayed nicely but the pro shop didn’t have any clubs, jackets, bags, shoes or anything that a golfer might need when traveling. I gathered myself and said I’ll just play and do not need the amenities. The driving range was 1000 yards away and no carts were allowed. I paid 165 dollars and had to pay extra for range balls.
The layout of the course was designed beautifully but there were weeds on every green and the rough has been neglected. They have installed artificial grass on the popular areas for golf carts, which was a great idea to minimize the work for a ground crew. I believe they only have enough employees to cut the grass and perform up-keep maintenance.
This course looks like it is ready to close and I which I read up about this course before I paid top dollar for it. Glen Dornoch is off my list for sure.
Course in very very good conditions. Reasonably challenging. One can handle with course management. Will play again for sure.
weedy greens
The greens were in horrible condition. I felt that for the amount we paid, we should have gotten much better conditions. Would not go back. The pace of play was also very slow.
