The golf course at the Palmbrook Golf Club (formerly known as Palmbrook Country Club) has a reputation for being immaculately well kept. The course's greens and fairways are consistently kept in excellent condition making the course enjoyable to play. In addition to the spotless maintenance, the course at the Palmbrook Golf Club has a challenging design that incorporates water hazards in the form of a meandering brook and six lakes on the back nine. The challenging greens are fast and hard to read. There are also several bunkers that can affect play. Four sets of teeboxes provide different options.

Course was very in all aspects with the exception that the greens were very slow and hard to putt on. You had to hit your putts so hard that you would think they would go off the green but they would not make it to the hole
Please be transparent about course conditions
Had i known about cart path only and that the greens were not mowed, I would not have paid 88 dollars to play there.
Atrocious Greens, no refund?
Do not play here for at least another two weeks. Greens are unbelievably long and unplayable coming out of overseed. Pace of play was 2hours 23 min. and we quit after 9. There were 5 groups on 9th hole and two groups just skipped it to get ahead, putting us even further behind. Never once saw a Marshal. We inquired about a refund or credit for 9 holes and were just laughed at. Even cart guys chuckled about how unbelievably bad the greens were and said ‘no way should we be open’.
Ready for Winter
Palmbrook has just reopened since overseeding so the course was very green even the rough. The warmer weather in October has kept the Bermuda rough active so it is mostly green as well. The greens are still rounding into shape so they were slow and inconsistent but that should improve with time. Cart path only conditions means be ready to walk a bit but the weather was so perfect it was not a problem.
Price
A little expensive for non mowed greens. Either let it grow more or lower the price
Brutal
Delayed tee time due to cart path only restriction. Greens were not mowed??? Took three hours to barely finish 9. Don't open your course if it's not ready to play after reseeding. Rip off!
Should Be Closed
Palmbrook must be in survival mode to allow play during "overseeing" with course conditions this bad. On the 4th hole of our round the maintenance guy driving the "blower" tractor actually blew the loose grass off the middle of the fairway at us in the rough. BRUTAL! I play a lot and have always seen maintenance people wait till the area is clear to continue. I understand overseeing but this was just ridiculous. Proud was "hardpan" throughout the course and we left after 12 holes.
best value
good greens and sand traps (actual soft sand in them! as opposed to many 'higher-end' courses which have rock-hard traps).
For $31.99 + tax, received a round including the cart!... Can't beat that value.

An enjoyable round...
Late and Slow
Saturday late morning and afternoon tee times are frequently delayed by 15-30 minutes. Yesterday was 15 minutes late and play was extremely slow. Round exceeded five hours. Not sure what went wrong before 11am but the second tee box was stacked with a five group wait. This continued all day. Otherwise we love this course and the staff.
Super awesome course
Pace of play was a little slow but was very well maintained and fun and open layout. Will definitely be going again soon.
Nice challenging course
The course was in very good shape even with the extreme summer heat. It's nice to have gps with the cart. Good pace of play and a friendly staff.
Matt in the pro shop is always friendly and helpful. Cart guy super friendly.
