About
The golf course at the Sun City Country Club provides a challenging championship course in an elegant setting. The semi-private course has a tight layout with fairways that are lined with trees and bushes. The trees provide plenty of shade, a welcome asset on sunny days. The greens play at medium speed and they are consistently in good condition. Several of the greens are elevated and sloped. A water hazard comes into play on three holes on the course. The seventh, a 153-yard, par-3, hole is the signature hole. It requires a tee shot over water that has to carry at least 125 yards. The upscale Sun City Country Club offers fine dining options as well as an experienced and helpful on-site golf pro.

Disappointing
I play regularly in the west valley and Sun City so I know what to expect. This time of year you know pace of play will be a little slower but my experience was horrible. We had to wait on every hole with as many as three groups standing on the tee at times. I’m sick of paying good money to have such a horrendous golf experience. Course was in good shape and greens were firm/fast. That being said I would NOT recommend this course.
Fastest greens I’ve played all winter!
Very good greens and good layout! Pace of play was very good and I got a good price on GolfNow. The carts were gas meaning loud with bad brakes!
Nice greens
Nice greens... ran true. But, at 6300 max was a bit short.
Excellent course at a reasonable price
Course is in great shape. Fairways are very nice and even the rough was green. Unusual for Phoenix courses in the winter. Greens were fast. The pin placements were a bit challenging. Didn't figure out the undulations and green speed until after I 3 putted a few holes.
Beautiful course
The grass condition is probably the best I have seen. Greens were also in good condition. The rough was high and we lost a couple of balls.
The bathroom was very clean on the course.
Great time
The greens are always in great shape and can be very tricky. The big mature trees that line the fairways put accuracy at a premium. Those are the course’s best defenses and demand your attention. Always in great shape always fun
Pace of play was aweful
We had 5 groups spread over 2 holes it took over 2 hours to play 9 holes…course was amazing but was ruined by waiting 20+ minutes in between each shot
Fun course to play
D conditions, greens had good speed to them. Pretty wide open, some undulations on the greens. Easy course to walk
We really enjoyed the course. Challenging but not real hard for a golfer like me. The course was in beautiful condition. Never felt rushed.
Good value
Pretty open course and conditions were decent. Good value for the price.
