About
The Sun City South Golf Course is normally a private club but during the summer months, public play is allowed. The course has a traditional layout with four sets of teeboxes for a variety of different golfing options, which allow golfers to work on a range of different handicaps. The golf course has a fair share of challenges with several sand bunkers and plenty of trees scattered throughout. There are also out-of-bounds stakes providing more difficulty. Water hazards come into play on some holes as well. The Sun City South Golf Course facility has a putting green and chipping area for golfers to use in addition to the course.

Slow play
The front line I played in an hour and then I caught up to three five thumbs and it took me two and a half hours to play nine holes so so the ranger needs to move people along instead of just driving around bs with people. I didn't play the last three holes cuz I didn't want to be there until 6:00 at night but other than that it's a great course lot of fun
Excellent pace of play.
Played the course as a single behind two separate twosomes and it took less than 3.5 hours. Greens were good but many fairways had some large real rough spots which provided less than ideal lies. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Greens are in good shape. Fairways have many rough spots where the lie will not be as good as it should be.
south course golf
Our group got right off and made really good time . Greens and tee boxes were in great shape while some fairways were getting a bit spotty ...Overall a great round and all had a good time!
Nice course, very slow play.
Wide fairways in very good condition. Greens were also well kept, and quite challenging,
Pace of play was fairly good, but for some reason they allow groups of 5! Not good, especially seeing that this course is in a quite old age group community...
Also, was charged $19 per PERSON for a golf cart, after the rental fee. Did not know that beforehand, or would not have played there.
Walking is allowed, as are groups of five, which can really slow things down.
Good Day to play South
Weather was perfect. Fairways and greens were in real good conditions (rough is what it is this time of year). Pace of play was good even though we had a Sun City Fivesome in front of us. Manged to complete a round in 3 hours and 30 minutes. What more can you ask?
Great course
No complaints about the course or staff. Tees, fairways, and greens in great shape. The only complaint is you should not allow groups of 5 at anytime. It was a 4:30 minute round as 2-3 groups of five teed off before our time, one the groups had 5 walkers. This significantly reduces pace of play.
Enjoyable round
The fairways and greens were in good shape. Good value for the price. Staff was friendly. Most of the holes were very straightforward and not a lot of strategy required. Would definitely play again.
Slow play
Nice Sun City course group in front of us needed to learn golf edict we were a 3 some and they never let us play through. Great staff fun time guys I played with were awesome. I will play here again
Nice greens
Overall, the course was in good shape other then the rough areas. They were muddy and not maintained well. The tee boxes and greens were very nice but the fairways needed a little work.
Early Christmas gift
Was gifted a beautiful Christmas Eve morning, and
with an earlier starting time. Played along with 2 other single players, and it made for a quick morning..Tees, fairways and greens are beautiful and consistent,just beware of duck poop all over Par3 17th green and rough.
If I didn’t tell you enough about the course, then you just have to find out for yourself. I wish this place was my backyard though.
