About
The Sun City South Golf Course is normally a private club but during the summer months, public play is allowed. The course has a traditional layout with four sets of teeboxes for a variety of different golfing options, which allow golfers to work on a range of different handicaps. The golf course has a fair share of challenges with several sand bunkers and plenty of trees scattered throughout. There are also out-of-bounds stakes providing more difficulty. Water hazards come into play on some holes as well. The Sun City South Golf Course facility has a putting green and chipping area for golfers to use in addition to the course.

A good parkland course
This parkland course was in good condition. Although the course is surrounded by houses, they are sufficiently far away from the fairways such that they do not pose a risk.
OK Course
First time at this course. It’s OK but not spectacular. Fairways and greens well maintained. Course isn’t very scenic for those of us who appreciate that sort of thing. Good value for the price.
Greens need some love.
Had a decent time. Lots of golfers cancelled due to the day being cold and windy. Pace was OK. Mostly because so many golfers did not show up. The greens were interesting. Seems very few people fixed their ball marks. The other odd thing was that the ball would not stay on line. It would bounce along or take sudden turns as it slowed down. (More than normal) Fairways were in pretty good shape.
RSCS money grabbing on GolfNow times
Love this course, have for years. But the Recreation Centers of Sun City that control this and 7 other courses have not returned to pre-covid inclusion of cart with Hot Deals. These courses have always been a good deal in the past but now a twosome pays for two tee time fees plus a sum equal to a third tee time fee for a shared cart. Can't understand why GolfNow let's then get away with charging additional fees on tee times allocated to them for their services.
Goof is good
Very nice clubhouse staff very calm individuals waiting in line were a little impatient starter could have used a 2nd helper or starter course and play were good just like the weather will be back
Greenest I’ve Seen the Course
Check in staff always friendly. Greenest the course has been. Greens a little slow but in good shape. Rough actually green as well. Played in 3:30. Like the layout.
Disappointed Marine
1pm tee time. Arrived at 11. Asked Chuck in golf shop if he could get me out sooner. “No chance too busy “ was his reply. Went to the range ( dead and almost no grass). Watched threesome after threesome tee off I could have played with mixed in with numerous fivesomes Chuck was sending out. Left without playing.
No need to overseed
This course is in great shape now, as a concerned citizen golfer I do not see the need to throw thousands of gallons of water on this or any other golf course in the valley. Let us cutback on this nonsense…
Great course
I really enjoyed the round of golf. The reason I scored the golf ammenies is because it was late in the afternoon.
Course mgmt is horrible and has been
I don't know why they've allowed a great track to fall into such bad shape. They haven't mowed the rough in almost 2 months and it greatly diminishes the quality. Lost first ball on opening tee shot. No one behind me so I searched for quite awhile with no luck fire my bright yellow ball. This has become the standard for rough at North and Willowcreek too. If they need workers why not post a want ad rather than lose their hard fought reputation for quality. Won't play here again until rough is resolved.
