Shalimar Golf Club is a nine-hole golf course in Tempe. The course is best for beginners but it has enough challenges in store to make it a great option for more advanced players who want a quick round. The layout is comprised of three par 3s and six par 4s. It weaves through a smattering of mature trees and across gently rolling hills. The small greens can be quite tricky, especially since there are strategically placed bunkers lurking along some. Water hazards come into play on a few holes, including the 155-yard fifth, which is one of the golf course's toughest. You'll have to pull off a carry over the area's biggest lake to a heavily bunkered, narrow green. Shalimar Golf Club's ninth hole is the most well known though, mainly for the island green. In addition to the water, there are also four bunkers surrounding the green.

First time playing
Was impressed with this course, greens were slow but rolled true..played from the tips and it seemed the tips to the white tees on almost every hole was 50 yds difference..would play again...
The course was in terrible shape, several of the tee boxes could have double as sand traps.

This is a nice little course. I have played it several times before and it is fun. The corse is usually in better than average shape. I would recommend this course for a fun time.

Water and mud
This was the best I’ve ever seen this course, the greens and fairways were in very good shape, no mud or water, will be back soon

The course was in very good shape. The staff was very accommodating in getting me out (a little ahead of my tee time). It is a nice nine hole walk.

This little gem in the middle of a residential area has fantastic course conditions. It will really test your short game as the greens are almost postage stamp size. Most of the 6 par 4's are reachable in one for the big hittrrs
