West at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The West Course at Eagle Valley Golf Course winds through the Carson City foothills at the base of the Eastern Sierra. The links-style layout features an interesting variety of holes that provide a formidable test for even the most advanced players. The fairways are lined with native desert vegetation that grows tall enough to provide some challenge and several water hazards are strategically placed throughout. The dramatic elevation changes in the rolling landscape also require forced carries. Accuracy is vital to doing well on the golf course, offering a true risk-and-reward experience. For golfers wanting a more relaxed round, Eagle Valley offers the less daunting East Course.

West side
Play the west side it more challenging and better views watch out for snipers at the gun range have fun
windy
When we first arrived it wasn't too windy, but it got stronger as the day went on. The course was in better shape than we anticipated for only being open 2 weeks. It needs some thicker/greener grass to grow in on the greens~they were super fast. When it warms up a bit, we would like to see the cart paths fixed up so they don't ruin your new carts. THANKS.
Course in good shape for early Spring
Course was in good shape particularly the greens. Nice open fairways and fun to play.
Good layout
Was wet but good course. Wide and open so great to let it rip.
Friendly pro shop staff
Eagle Valley is great, however golf now not great!
Golf now is horrible to use. Scheduled golf with carts, when we got there no golf carts available. We scheduled for west course and it was not available when we got there. Eagle Valley explained they told Golf Now their west course was not open and no carts available and Golf Now failed to put it online. It’s is a very nasty way to do business and rip golfers off.
Eagle Valley is a great place to golf. Their West Course is the best course. Staff is great and friendly!
West Course worth the price
Greens are surprisingly challenging for the price. The course requires some target golf and the Par 5s are very long which was a nice change from the other courses in the area.
Signage
Great time on this course.
A big help would be signs pointing the direction from 2 to three. No clue.
Also a sign pointing from 9 to 10. Got lucky there.
Hole diagrams on the scorecards would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Nice Round, Course in great shape!
Second time playing here. Played last year when I was visiting friends. Decided to put the Course on the play list.
Played with a good friend, who lives in the area. We had an excellent afternoon round.
10/9
Everything was good! We just wish the primary rough would be cut down a tiny bit, or that you cut a section of 3 to 5ft along the fairway to have a secondary rough, like the pros get! Also, I know most golfers have GPS, but we do not, it would be nice if you could put up some tiny white poles along the cart paths to indicate 150yds out. No need for a 100 -n- 200 yd ones. just something to gage our next shot. We know you have some plates in the fairways, but they are hard to see/find. The staff was great as always! THANKS~see ya soon!
Good Test at a Good Price
Challenging track that tests every club in the bag. Reasonably priced, and pretty well maintained for a Muni. However greens have been infested with some type of coarse grainy plant that affects putting line
good day
Love playing this course
Hopefully it will qualify me for the free movies tickets
Fun course
Nice Course
Overall this is an above average course compared to others in the area. What makes it a four star is the price which was well below other comparable courses. Pace of play was well above average. We played in a shade over four hours which is very good considering it was a Saturday. I would play it again.
ball marks -n- rough
Everything was good, but we wanted to point out a few minor things. Too many of the ball marks on the greens were large, we repaired a lot today. I've have brought this up before recently, it would be nice if you could do the following!!! The primary rough is too thick, is there any way the landscapers can cut a secondary rough that is not as thick, say 3 to 5ft worth?
THANKS~see ya soon.
