Staff very friendly.

Restaurant was down under remodel. ATM was off and cart girl was only taking cash this day due to card reader not working. But gentlemen in club house were able to help out and use card at the check in.

How much can you expect after the worst winter in 50 years? Some greens were decent, others bad. Some fairways dry, others had lakes. But I can see that this course has promise for when it recovers and I'll definitely be back to check it out in a month or so. The price was good considering the conditions.

The wife and I had a great time playing the corse. Typical spring time conditions. We will be back.

The course has some worn down areas through the 18 holes. They have the price right for the conditions so I’ll play it again. Staff was great!,

Check in was swift and easy.

Only down fall was course was very wet…..too wet actually at the Tees and in the middle of the fairways as if the water was left on accidentally. But after 11 things started to dry up and play went by better.

Neglectef fairways. Some have horse poop on them. Greens ok. Very shabby and not taken care of courses

Unbelievable poor shape. All the grass is dead. A lot of weeds in the fairways. A lot of dry areas.

I am from western Washington. We have dozens of golf courses in a 30 mile radius prices range from $28-$280+. Being a high handicap I choke on $100+ green fees. Empire Ranch is a great course for the more Frugal golfer. The greens were recently punched and sanded, still could get a roll and a decent read. When I travel I like to purchase a divot tool with the course logos. They didn’t have any, please let me know if you get any in.

Course in poor condition. Greens good. Horse poop piles on some of the fairways. Unacceptable

I've played several courses in the Carson City area over the years, but had never heard of this course. It is a links style course, that has H2O and blind shots. Fairways are quite wide, but not having someone that has played the course B4 is a handicap.

I was told that the course is still recovering from flooding a few years ago, but all but a couple of holes are in good shape. Greens had been sanded a week or so prior, but still rolled fairly true.

If I lived in the area I would play there on a regular basis.

I am not sure what happened. We played this course earlier this year and it was in good shape. It is early October and the grass is dead almost all of the fairways were dead. The greens were not much better. I will not play again until they water and fertilize the grass. Fun layout it’s a bummer.

Great day on the Empire Ranch Golf Course. Although a tournament was in progress, the staff made arrangements for us to play the back nine first. Good customer relations. Course was in great shape. Rough was a little challenging, but playable. Fun day.

So the staff was over the top friendly in the Pro Shop & at the first tee. Course was fair to good given time of year. Stay out of the rough! Sand traps were hard and lacked sand. Greens were slightly long but reasonably held the ball and held a line. Cart girl wasn’t always available between the restaurant and cleaning carts. Food in the restaurant was decent and at a good price. Overall for the money we had a very good time.

The rough needs mowing - slows play looking for you ball.

I have to tip my cap to the grounds crew at the course. I started playing this course a few years ago and honestly, it was horrible. But it’s the perfect track to teach my wife, who was new tot the game, the basics. Over the last two years, WOW, quite a turn around. The tee boxes are greatly improved, the fairways still have some rough areas but the greens are in great shape. If only others playing understood how to repair their ball marks. Great work by all involved. It’s a great little course offering a moderate challenge. I will continue coming down to play.
