About
Located justhalf-hour drive from both Lake Tahoe and Reno, Sunridge Golf Club features monster holes and mammoth lakes. The 669-yards par 5 11th - the longest hole in the scenic High Sierras region and then some - draws your attention as soon as you look at the scorecard. But the 26 acres of water on the golf course will probably provide more challenge and thrills.
There's also a hole with a 300-foot drop from the tee to the fairway (No. 14), a tiny par 3 19th bet-decider hole and a ton of driveable par 4s that almost beg for you to go for it. As a bonus, Sunridge Golf Club's green fees wow many vacationers used to Tahoe pricing.

Friendly and scenic
Staff greets you with a smile and is professional and courtesy. The course spans over a wide open front nine, then tightens up and plays into the hills towards the later half of the back nine. The round need not end a stalemate at this course, a tie-breaking nineteenth hole is provided. The course is challenging yet reasonable, the views are awesome and the staff is approachable. For the rate of play and the rate to play balance here. All-and-All,, I score Sunridge with a respectable 5/10. overall and a local rating of 7/10.
Wet and wetter
Rainfall over night. Course very wet and greens very soft. Fast pace of play. Sun popped out afternoon. Was a good round over all.
Very nice but scary!
Front 9 was awesome! Back 9 was something else beginning with hole #15. Those downhill drive from the tee box takes a little bit of courage and skill. Thank goodness for the couple playing behind me who helped me finish my round. Course was in great shape otherwise!
Scary back 9!
Having a great time until I got to hole 15 of the back 9. You have to know how to maneuver your golf cart going down the steep elevation. I love the course except for that experience. Had to call the pro shop to come help me get through going down the hill. Fortunately a couple playing behind me helped me and my wife continue and finish my round. Overall, I had a great experience!
Wait till Spring
Beautiful day, warm temps, great day for golf, however , the course is not in real good shape- standing water everywhere from tee to green, wet/soggy , couples day and pace was terribly slow, I packed it in after nine and went home

This course was an adventure with lots of narrow fairways and water in the first 13 holes. The last five were remarkable elevation change was challenging Experience

Hidden gem
Excellent layout. Hidden gem. Really fun layout. Only complaint is the bunkers are really bad with water and grass growing. Just play them as under repair currently.
Almost Perfect
A new owner took over in the past couple of years and they are making this course into one of the top courses in the Carson/Tahoe area. Some people may call it funky. Some may say it’s tricked up. I say this course is challenging and requires accurate shot making If this course could get a nice cash infusion, it would be an absolute gem. It’s pretty close now.
Still great
The course is still in great condition. One of my all time favorites!
