Located justhalf-hour drive from both Lake Tahoe and Reno, Sunridge Golf Club features monster holes and mammoth lakes. The 669-yards par 5 11th - the longest hole in the scenic High Sierras region and then some - draws your attention as soon as you look at the scorecard. But the 26 acres of water on the golf course will probably provide more challenge and thrills.
There's also a hole with a 300-foot drop from the tee to the fairway (No. 14), a tiny par 3 19th bet-decider hole and a ton of driveable par 4s that almost beg for you to go for it. As a bonus, Sunridge Golf Club's green fees wow many vacationers used to Tahoe pricing.

Course is two courses in one. I love the course. My buds like it but think the the back nine is tough, that's what I like about it. Beautiful views on the back,front too. Noy busy only 4 groups per hour, love that too. Cart paths are the best and course is kept up extremely well. Play this course.
Must play!
Golf course becoming much more playable. Challenging for all skill levels. Greens are getting better and grass is starting to grow. Shot my best score there thanks to golf course being in good shape.

Sunridge is a fun course. However this time had some issues. We booked the tee time 2 weeks in advance. When we showed for our tee time we were informed that the back nine was closed due to aeration. We could play the front 9 twice for a reduced rate. But...... we were not told that not only had the greens on the front nine recently been aerated and sanded, but the sanding was done with what appeared to be gravel!!!! When We inquired as to why we were not notified of the conditions, we were told the notice was on Golf now. We did not receive that notification until 90 minutes after the start of our round!!!!!!

Good condition for season - always interesting round on unique course
this is a unique layout. front nine is mostly straight forward with some challenging holes and quite a bit of water. playing with someone who knows course is benefit. back nine start with a number of water challenging holes. then, up into the hills with huge elevation changes and distance control at a premium. greens range from relatively flat to multi-tiered. in early April, they are rather slow, but did run true. in summer, they tend to be quick and true. a few of the back tee boxes are no longer in use, but still a fun course to play.
Sunridge
This is perhaps my favorite course from Reno to Carson. It’s challenging, has great views and is never too crowded.
I try to play it once a month. Conditions are what they are due to the cold winter. Even better in the summer.
Beautiful Day at Sun Ridge
It was a big day in Carson City. The course was in good condition considering it is February in the Sierra’s.
Greens are fast. The course has several fun and challenging holes. Lots of water hazards but they were frozen most of the day. For $22.00 it is well worth it.
Nice course
Always enjoy the course. Cart guy at clubhouse always seems to have an attitude. Inside staff is awesome.
