Sunridge Golf Club
About
Located justhalf-hour drive from both Lake Tahoe and Reno, Sunridge Golf Club features monster holes and mammoth lakes. The 669-yards par 5 11th - the longest hole in the scenic High Sierras region and then some - draws your attention as soon as you look at the scorecard. But the 26 acres of water on the golf course will probably provide more challenge and thrills.
There's also a hole with a 300-foot drop from the tee to the fairway (No. 14), a tiny par 3 19th bet-decider hole and a ton of driveable par 4s that almost beg for you to go for it. As a bonus, Sunridge Golf Club's green fees wow many vacationers used to Tahoe pricing.

One of my favorite places to golf.
Sunridge has everything to challenge a golfer at any level. Choose your tee box and be ready for an exciting day. You have water to avoid, great greens to putt and a well designed course layout.
Overview
Second time playing this course, drove from Sacramento to play Sunridge this day. The course has definitely improved since I played it 4 years ago! The new ownership has done a fantastic revamping and improving course conditions to what they are now! Every part of the golf course is immaculate from the tee boxes to the fairways.. The greens were perfect speed with no imperfections! Definitely be back with some friend's to play this course again! Totally enjoyed my round at Sunridge golf course especially holes thru 13 - 17 !!
Sunridge on a sunny day
Such a great value!! The elevation changes on the back nine are crazy!! Do not walk....the most unwalkable course I can thing of. I am a YouTuber and you can see me attempt to play this course on my channel OMG Old man golf. In fact I am playing all of the Carson Valley Courses so check it out as well as courses in the Us and Europe.
Nothing is perfect
The game was almost perfect except for the carts, driving through steep curves without a good working brakes on cart is dangerous to your customers. starting from Hole 14 was a steep downgrade, when I was telling my hubby to slow down going down, I realized he was already stepping the brakes hard to the floor but yet we were like riding a roller coaster and scared the heck out of me, that gave me a bad headache and did not finish my game from hole 15 to 18. Even the staff that were joy riding the carts that day almost crash on us in hole 15 and said "sorry, carts have bad brakes!" Please check your cart brakes and fix it, especially your course have steep slopes.
Fantastic views. Great layout. Quite a unique and special experience.
Oh ya.
Such a great track. Fun, challenging, great views. Best course in northern Nevada hands down!!!! A bit smoky today.
Sunridge Shines
The course is in good shape and has very nice greens. Some blind shots make you think about club selection. Elevated tees on the back nine make for an exciting round. Had a great time today.
Great views
Fun course, back nine was beautiful and challenging. Very nice staff in pro shop.
For exceeded my expectations!
Unbelievable elevation changes......do not even think about walking this course. I am Playing all 10 of the divine 9 on my YouTube Channel OMG Old Man Golf and of the 6 I have played I would rank this #2. This should be ranked as one of the top 40 in Nevada.
Shut the water off!
Played here a couple weeks ago and it was in great condition. Today, not so much. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were saturated with water. Water everywhere. Plugged lies, standing water, slow greens,- all made for an unpleasant round. It’s green and healthy , but just not up to par when it’s this wet & not a good value. Brought a friend with me as I told him it was a great course- he will not be returning or playing here again.
Amusing Adventure. Tunnels and views
This course is very challenging.
It has a lot of water and tricky fairways.
It has a amazing adventurous cart path tunnels.
The last four holes are an adventure after a long uphill elevation change to the 14th hole.
We lost more balls than the average of course. If you’d like a good challenge this course can humble you.
Great fun
Early tee time to beat the heat. Fairways were in good shape but pretty soggy from watering. Wife shot 114 from silver and a 102 for me from the whites, which is about average for our skill level. Lost maybe 3-6 balls each from challenging holes. It was our favorite course of the 4 total we played while in Tahoe. Only 35 minutes away. Loved the course and challenging hazards at many holes. We also loved the elevated holes. Fun to crush a drive where the tee box is 200 feet above the fairway. Would absolutely play a couple of rounds here when we come back to Tahoe.
