Sunridge Golf Club
About
Located justhalf-hour drive from both Lake Tahoe and Reno, Sunridge Golf Club features monster holes and mammoth lakes. The 669-yards par 5 11th - the longest hole in the scenic High Sierras region and then some - draws your attention as soon as you look at the scorecard. But the 26 acres of water on the golf course will probably provide more challenge and thrills.
There's also a hole with a 300-foot drop from the tee to the fairway (No. 14), a tiny par 3 19th bet-decider hole and a ton of driveable par 4s that almost beg for you to go for it. As a bonus, Sunridge Golf Club's green fees wow many vacationers used to Tahoe pricing.

Beautiful views, a nice array on each hole.
To begin with, the staff is A1 on everything. Very friendly, inviting and informative. The course has variety’s of difficulties but is good fun and every hole in vastly different. It’s a great course with beautiful views.
Like several courses
Well kept course. Fairways nice. Rough not too rough. Greens were not super fast but were consistent and well groomed. some blind shots for first timer. And a couple funky holes. Gets hilly at the end. Would definitely play again knowing the layout now.
One of my favorites in the area!
This course doesn’t disappoint! Super friendly staff. Was able to tee off early. Good variety of challenging holes.
Great course
Great course, second time playing. Great pace as it’s pretty empty, we played as twosome. Course was really wet today, ball stuck in mud in fairways and greens but still good time. Def recommend
A great course, except for last 4 holes
We had a great round in front nine. For a young course, is in very good shape. Backside goes out and comes back to clubhouse. Starting at 14, the course changes character dramatically. To get to 14 tee, you drive up very steep slope, where cart feels it will stall, and climb nearly 300 ft. Then hit downhill to a very difficult to determine landing zone. That design continues to completion of round. Driving cart downhill with parking brake on is quite a feeling.
We received absolutely no input or warning from gals working pro shop. Not even a check if we’d played there before. Luckily a guy teeing off in front warned us. When no one is out there, a good good course. If lots of players, this course would be a slow-play nightmare.
Fastest Carts in The West
Went out as a single , but joined up with a twosome on the back nine. Course was in great shape , greens held and rolled out well. Carts are very fast, lunch special after was good. Definitely will come back. Final note- bring drinking water as their is none on the course. Awesome Golf now value! And they have the first ever real 19th hole (par 3)
Fun in the Scorching Sun
Super friendly and helpful staff. Modest, yet adequate bar with food and beverages. The golf course was in excellent condition with nice fairways and fairly soft greens for being 105F degrees. Plenty of unusual and challenging holes from fairly flat to billy goat mountainous, elevated, blind, and accuracy-demanding, risk/reward type holes. Overall a very fun round of golf at a reasonable price. I will definitely be back.
Great course overall
Sand traps need work, very hard packed but in light of recent storms it’s to be expected. Fantastic greens, excellent fairways! One of my favorite area courses!
Incredible elevation
I have never gone up some hills on a golf cart path so high and so slow on a golf cart, incredible views.
If you’re ever anywhere near the Area I highly recommend it.
Fun course
Some narrow fairways, plenty of water and back nine elevation changes round out the course. Great views from the back nine. Will defined be back. Also has a range, chipping and putting area. Enjoy!
Good Value
Played Sunridge for the fourth or fifth time. Conditions were generally better than in the past. Fairways and greens in good shape. Driving range closed for mowing (should mow later in day to avoid closure). Staff (one very nice woman) was friendly. Tee marker signs on a few back nine holes were incorrect. Signs led us to an tees now abandoned. Signs indicating yardage to directional poles on the elevated tee holes on back nine would be very helpful in speeding play. Even after playing the course several times, club selection is challenging. Overall, a good value. Will play again.
BigTH
Challenging and well maintained course. Never too busy either so pace of play is nice.
