Long Bay Club
About
The Long Bay Club boasts a Jack Nicklaus Signature design that is consistently ranked as one of the top golf courses in South Carolina, a major accomplishment when you're competing with golf destinations such as Hilton Head and Kiawah Island. The landscape showcases the beauty of the Lowcountry with forests of pines, dogwoods, and maple trees divided by clear blue streams. The golf course design closely mimics the natural contours of the terrain but there are also countless large, man-made mounds that were seamlessly sculpted into the surroundings. It is considered one of the toughest golf courses on the Grand Strand. Golfers will face numerous bunkers that are seemingly bottomless as well as vast waste areas. The signature hole is the par-4 10th, which features a u-shaped waste area that completely surrounds the fairway and then crosses in front of the elevated, contoured green.

Challenging but not brutal.
Typical Nicklaus course with challenging greens and generous fairways and lots of waste bunkers.
Great staff!
Very good course for all skill levels
Course was not in the best of shape, fairways could use a little more grass. Bunker/waste area consruction on some holes.
Great layout, plays slow
Love the layout, but the pace of play is terrible. Had a 7:45am tee time and our foursome played the front nine in 1 hour 40 mins. The back nine was almost 3 hours 15 mins.
Gotta play this track
You may hear it's too tough.... baloney, this is a playable course that can and will reward good golf, but ought to always give the golfer a great time.
One of the Nicest Courses & designes in Myrtle Beach
I have been Playing this course at least once for the past 10 Yrs, It is a Beautiful Layout & You can make it as tough or as Playable as you desire. Depending on tee Box Preference. It is always well maintained, A Challenge & Joy to play. Also of course it is a Nicklaus Design. Nothing else needs to be Said. OUTSTANDING !
