Great overall experience
Really enjoyed the course. Box, fairway, greens were all very well kept, even the bunkers were soft. There was frost in the morning which caused an hour delay in tee times, the only bad thing I could say about the experience, but it gave me an opportunity on their range which was good. And there were a couple of marshals I saw carting around encourage everyone to play at a quicker pace when possible. I suggest getting on their practice green for a bit it played pretty close to what I experienced on the course. They were fast for me on that day, I'm assuming because of the frost.
Driving range could be better, the course was good
I had a female coyote walk 5 holes with me while looking in the marsh for food. It was wonderful memory to have the coyote walk so close but just far enough as I walked the course. Just 20 yards away most of the time.
Late and Slow!
Tee time at 2:40. Didn’t go off until 3:15. Only got it 13 holes. Not worth the 55 bucks!
nice
the pace of play didn’t make sense. they sent 6 2somes behind our group so we constantly had to stop and let them play through
Day on the Lakes
Great value for the money and a challenging course for all levels. Great tee options and challenging layout. Greens were in good condition, but they aren’t too fast. Course was getting dry, but still in great playing shape for lies and getting under your balls. Excellent carts with gps and override control so you don’t drive where you don’t belong. Great pace of play and excellent atmosphere to meet great people. Restaurant at David’s Grill is delish! Front counter staff is super friendly and well dressed. I appreciated the young lady who helped me looked like she stepped off course on tour. The grounds are well kept and very clean. I highly recommend playing RedHawk if your visiting town or trying to improve your game locally. Have fun!
Lakeside
Played lakeside and it was a lot of fun. Pin location was a little challenging.
a hot summer
Red Hawk is in incredible shape. If you've played a bit locally, you know this summer has been crazy hot and windy with the added condition of very smoky. By September, the grass is hot, tired and usually worn out. How they have kept it in such great shape here is a credit to their staff. I plan on playing a bunch more; friendly folks and a great course.
A Great day
Redhawk -lakes was in very good shape and the weather was perfect. The course was not too busy and therefore we as a twosome finished in 2 hr and 45 minutes. Wonderful
Greens
The greens are some of , if not the largest in the area. You can be on the green and still have very long putt. So go after the pins.
The green a little slow, but ran real true. Good job greens crew.
Enjoyable Day
Playing with my brother & son on a Tuesday and we enjoyed ourselves on the Lakes course. We found it a little easier than the Hills but not as scenic. The greens were in good shape with some contour but not scary or ridiculously fast. Sand traps were more playable than the courses I play in Indiana (actually have some decent sand in them). The relative absence of trees makes wayward drives more forgiving , but there are plenty of fairway traps, ponds , and weeds to make you pay attention on your tee shots. The GPS on the carts is really helpful, with yardages to traps and to carry hazards. I have enjoyed every round I’ve played at Red Hawk, either Hills or Lake. Rates are reasonable, more so with Hot Deals or afternoon tee times. Practice area could be nicer: driving range chewed up and practice green has too much slope to get a good idea of the speed.
