Blackmoor Golf Club
About
Blackmoor Golf Club, a Gary Player Signature course, was built on the historic Longwood Plantation, whose heritage as an antebellum rice plantation along the majestic Waccamaw River accounts for much of its charm. The 18 championship holes feature flowing lakes, moss-draped oaks, lofty pines, and ever changing cypress. Attention to detail is noticeable from tee to green. For cold-weather play, the course is kept green from tree line to tree line to give a refreshing view for those from snow-covered northern climates. Unparalleled fairways focus your attention on one hole at a time. Be sure to study Blackmoor's course layout, since several blind shots to the green will challenge your perception.

Reviews
The course is well maintained.
The course was in excellent condition and I enjoyed playing it very much. Would recommend it to any one.
Playable
Enjoyed the course very much. Good mix of holes,, but one was truly strange unless you hit it long. Great course for the average lady golfer, my wife really enjoyed playing.
Great course!
My father in law and I played this course while on vacation. It was very challenging for us as we aren't great golfers. The course was in great shape. The greens were firm and fast, the fairways were clean and short, the rough was tricky. This course played great for me, being a left to right hitter. I would play there again.
This course was beautiful
This is the tenth course I've played in the myrtle beach area and definitly one of the best for the price.
Great staff
Turned up as a single .got fixed up to make a 4ball,guys where great.staff where very friendly .made me feel very welcome.course was in excellent condition, greens fast and true.plenty of yardage markers.will play again.
Course was wet and played a bit longer. Overall a good challenge and I will be going back.
Was not sure what to expect when we got there. The staff was very friendly during all aspects of the round. The holes with the doglegs make the risk reward shots more fun. Course was wet, but fair. Would love to play it again when it's dry.
Love the layout
Everything in great condition. We got rained out after 8 holes and they gave us a rain check. I came back at 3:00PM and finished my play.
Great Value
With the early morning discounts, this one is a great value.
Lots of doglegs, but it's not a really long course so it's fair for high handicappers and fun for low handicappers. Don't expect to hit a lot of drivers here though.
The only downside to the round was that the greens were really slow.
Blackmoor
Great course, very friendly staff. Early bird special was a good price and the course is well taken care of.
Great, even with all the rain
Played 7:52 AM after probably an inch and a half of rain fell overnight. Course was soggy, but much better than I was expecting. Almost no standing water anywhere there was grass, and the bunkers were all raked and fluffy.
Greens were in great shape and the staff was friendly and accomodating. Great course especially for under $60!
The Course is not very long.
Course plays shorter than measured. Staff was super friendly and very welcoming. I would defiantly play again.
Can't believe Gary Player lends his name to this one
We were very disappointed with the layout and condition of this course. There are way too many dog-legs on this course. They obviously didn't have enough real estate. One of our carts died with three holes to play and 18 doesn't finish at the club house. The only positive here was the staff...they were awesome. That said, would not pay again or recommend.
always on our must play courses
Blackmoor is always in great shape. Every hole is fair, but challenging. Great course for all handicaps.
Enjoyed Blackmoor in Myrtle Beach
Course was in excellent condition. The staff was very courteous and helpful. There was a large group that started half hour before us so that affected the pace of play.
So many dog legs, I only used my driver twice.
Great course for the price.
I really enjoyed the course, especially for the price. It was a good layout in good condition and excellent ultra dwarf greens. I will definitely play again. I have already recommended it to others.
Not impressed
There are much better courses in the area for the same money. Don't be fooled by the Gary Player name, this course was unimpressive and somewhat shabby, although the staff was very welcoming and helpful.
