Azalea Sands Golf Course

Played it 2 days after Hurricane Ian. Other than some debris, the course was in great shape. Nice layout with some challenging holes. Staff is great

I'm not critical of much but the course is in rough shape. Definitely do not recommend.

Ok I had a tee time and arrived at the club. Pro shop buba said that the club would not honor the tee time book since the new owners LIE the owners purchased the club 3 years ago and put 2 million dollars in the course LIE. Buba apparently was a former used car salesman on the Grand Strand. Buba apparently is on salary and commission in screwing the golfers. It is a shame to have this clown employed at this club. The course was in pretty good shape with the exception of the greens. Buba get your resume prepared !

Great staff, great course, and I even had a good round.

It was a last minute tee time, I’m glad I did.

Even with air rated greens I still like it a lot. Can’t wait to come back.

Azalea Sands is a beautiful course. Plenty of challenges with bunkers around the green and water.

Fairways and Tee boxes were good, greens were a little bumpy. Airated and sanded Monday afternoon, Tuesday they were still a little ruff but in better condition!

Staff was excellent, they continue to do a great job. Of getting the course in shape! My 3rd and 4th round this year, every time it gets better!! Great Job guys!!

They had verticut the greens and sanded half way. I understand its a needed service to get the greens better but they could have told us it was going to be done on the day we played and we would have found another course out of the 75 in the area.

Worth the price. They had recently done work on the greens which was unfortunate for me, but they were just doing their jobs. The course was in good shape though and would go back and play again.

Azalea Sands is a great golf course....some great holes that will challenge you off the tee...You must manage this course..it's not bomber friendly...The greens aesthetics are challenged...They do roll ok..they need to protect the integrity of the hole with the plastic ring...not a fan of those but Bermuda demands it as the hole shrinks as the the day moves on....

Course was ok for the cost. Greens were extremely shaggy and tough to play. Pace of play was a bit slow. Overall an ok course.

In town visiting, got here earlier than I thought, needed a late afternoon fix. Fun layout...just a little bit of TLC from being really good. Greens were bumpy, but the course was in decent shape overall. Recommend it for sure. Clubhouse staff was awesome. Got me right out.There were some really bad golfers ahead of us which slowed things down. We jumped them at the turn when they stopped for their 2nd 12 pack.

My apologies again to them for hitting into them on 8. I thought for sure they were greenside because they'd been in the fairway so long, but they weren't.

Definitely recommend.

Enjoyed the round. Older course, conditions were pretty good with a couple greens and tees a little sparse. Were rolling greens just behind me, that probably helped for the afternoon rounds. Staff was excellent. Certainly worth playing, and good value for those looking for a more laid back round. Thank you.

I remember playing here many years ago and found the course dried out and boring. On my latest trip I was looking to play a course near where I was staying and saw that their reviews were much better. I decided to give it a try since I was playing by myself and was pleasantly surprised. We have had quite a bit on rain recently so the course was cart path only but conditions were pretty good. Greens rolled true and no puddles in the fairways with everything pretty green. Don't know if they have added more landscaping but it was not s boring as I remembered. Still flat but you can't change the terrain

I come to Myrtle Beach once a year and this is the second year I am playing this course. I am not a very good golfer, but this course is not too hard. You definitely can't beat the price!!
