Azalea Sands Golf Course

5 hour round twice in one week and the cart girl had a bad selection of drinks. She was very nice.

A decent course for beginners to play. Not too tough, inexpensive good course to warm up on. You couldn’t make a ball mark on the green.

Flat layout with plenty of sand and water hazards. Greens are very good, fairways are thin in spots, lacking some grass and rock hard. (It has been very dry.) Plenty of good holes and should be able to shoot a better than average score

First time golfing at Azalea Sands. Staff was very friendly, very helpful. The only downside was the crowds and resulting pace. Middle of day Tuesday, almost all foursomes, and the pace was way too slow for 9 minute tee time spacings. Had us waiting every hole of the first nine. At 10, had three foursomes waiting in front of us, so we went back to the starter who let us play 1-9 over again with no wait. Second time through was half the time, very enjoyable. Punch line, really liked the course, great shape, great value, very friendly staff, hope they can get the spacing adjusted to move things along! Thanks for a great afternoon!

This is a great course for the money. It was challenging enough to be fun but not so to make you feel beat up. The staff were very friendly. Would have liked to see a beverage cart around at some point but staffing shortages are hitting everyone.

The only real detractor was the pace of play was a little slow. I wouldn't complain about that since I like seeing couples out playing and everyone was super patient so other than a mention it didn't hurt the experience.

The wife and I are looking to play again on our return to Myrtle.

Course in good shape. Fairways played well but the distance markers did not align with actual distance to the pin. Greens in great shape and placed a bit fast. Overall had a good round and would play again.

Greens are in great shape, you can tell they have put a a lot of effort and money back into the course over the last couple years. Best value on the grand strand

Overall for 1st day warm up course was Ok. Tee boxes need attention and lots of water. Fairways where ok. Greens where fine. Sand was compressed and not really up to par. I would recommend for warmup round.

Very enjoyable. Some fairways can be narrow and some of the fairways grass was sparse. Overall a few more straight holes for a links course.

Played this course many years ago and swore I’d never go back. Long story short what a difference. Great tee boxes and fairways fast greens that held. Price was a good value. Go there you won’t be disappointed

The greens were great. They held irons shots and rolled very well. The sand traps were very good. The fairways showed signs of use and there were a few bare spots. The “Pro” was at the desk , was very friendly, and was proud of the course.

Nice little course. Not too long. Fair and interesting to play.

No refreshment cart though so plan ahead.

Affordable, clean and fast greens. Course was lots of fun, a little challenging.
