Great round at the beach!
It's been a couple of years since we played Beachwood, but thoroughly enjoyed the course, staff, and food. Course in very good shape, although many greens were recovering from being aerated. Otherwise, fairways and tees were in great condition. Challenging with multiple sets of tees. Food at clubhouse was very good and quick. Beachwood has purchased new electric golf carts since we last played there.

Good course... would be good for beginners outside of some water fairly open fairways. Sand was great in bunkers if you did hit in them. Never lost a ball and outside of recently punched greens course was good shape all the way around.

Played after aeration but course was still playable. Greens didn't roll as normal but that's to be expected with aeration. Fairways were in good shape.

I thought the course was in good shape except that it appeared the greens had recently been treated/aerated and had much sand on them to slow down the putts. A lesser green fee would have been good under those circumstances. The bunkers and fairways were fine. I liked the carts having attached ball washers and club washers. The staff were very nice. The clubhouse was fine. We had six players therfore; two back to back tee times. All in all, the round was fine and I we all would play there again but would rather do so when the greens were in top notch shape.

Sandy greens
The greens were mostly sand that impacted play. The sand traps were fluffy and the fairways were nice but most of the course was straight always.

Beachwood Golf
Really like this course but is hit and miss with the maintenance. Played previous week with one other person and finished under 3 hours. This week much different. Four hour round. Numerous twosomes and threesomes. Should try on busy days to group these together where possible. Also greens had just been aerated and although they did their best - they are inconsistent. Still it was a real value at $39 a round on GolfNow.

Good layout
Beachwood is a very good course and not overly expensive. It's a great old style layout where the next tee is very close to the green you just putted on. I like the overall design. The only reason I only gave 4 stars for course conditions is they had just punched and sanded greens- but of course that had to be done.
Overall a good course with good people working there.

Good value, good course.
All in all, privacy better than the public course in your hometown. They do tend to book pretty heavy, but the starters keep it moving. Course is in good shape, the staff is friendly and the price is right.
