Teeing off with my resort in the backround Photo submitted by u912007132 on 05/31/2019
Great shape/quality/layout
I thoroughly enjoyed this course. The layout, quality, condition, and staff were top notch. For a public course with tons of people playing it, it def holds up and is well kept. The greens even after aeration were firm and solid with no holes.
Slow Saturday, but overall good day
Beachwood is good value, but always be prepared for a slow round. Unless it's 3pm and 97 degrees in July, it's gonna be slow. The starter did go out and try to help speed up the groups taking forever, and was very nice to us as he passed, but even after play was slow. Course is in good shape for the price. Always enjoy the round there, except the almost 5.5 hours it takes.
I had a great time I played with a group on the front then another on the back everyone was friendly and I was treated very well by the staff, I could be spoiled playing there, compared to the Winston-Salem area courses
One the most painful and slowest rounds
With all the many options in MB, I would avoid this course. Most of staff not very friendly with the exception of one that helped load carts. They seemed to cram as many tee times in as humanly possible 7 mins apart on a Saturday morning. It took an hour an a half to play 3 freaking holes! Marshalls were clueless about how to manage pace of play. Nice enough course and in good shape but I am one and done with this place.
Great course
Course was un GREAT condition. Greens and fairways were pristine.
Great value course
This is one of the best value courses in MB. Especially if you use a hot deal. The conditions were very good
Course needs some work
Well I had a good time playing around with some very nice fellas I was paired with. I must say the condition of the fairways and rings could have been better. The fairways were very dry and not much grass and the greens needed some improvement as well.
Marion
Course has improved 100%. Spoke with head pro and he said they hired new supt. and after one year they new they had the right guy.
Unbelievable difference from last time we played.
So close
Staff were wonderful. Course is a classic, greens were in excellent shape. This could be the best value in the area if it weren’t for the pace of play. 5 hour weekday morning round. We were reminded many times that this was the busiest day in ___________. Everyone seemed to be bragging about the amount of rounds they were pumping out that day. I would love to recommend this course to everyone I know, just can’t do it based on the pace of play.
Really slow play
Seems like the Tuesday men’s league has really slow players. We were waiting on every shot for the first 9 until the guys in front of us were done. We were soon 3 holes ahead of the men behind us. 5 hours is pretty slow for a Tuesday midday round.
Fairways and greens were in excellent shape
Greens were unblemished and smooth. A bit slow, but that may be that I played a faster course the day before. Course is in great shape
A Great Day of Golf
Large greens, comfortable fairways, beautiful day. What’s not to like about all that? Excellent conditions on the course and the layout was enjoyable. Not the most difficult course, but enjoyable and playable for all levels. Will definitely be coming back!
