Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.

Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

Great Course for the Money

We had two players, first time visiting. They brought a cart out to us and loaded up our bags, then described the course and what to look out for. Everyone was super friendly. Greens and fairways were in great shape, most of the holes are straight away with lots of trees - but they're not so close that an errant shot can't be advanced. Lots of water and bunkers but not so challenging for intermediate golfers like ourselves. Geens were in great shape and rolled well. We really enjoyed this course, playing in under 3 1/2 hours. Would definitely play here again!

Weekend Getaway

Hit a 93 today. Eagle’s Nest is easily the best golf course I’ve ever played on. Super friendly folks, awesome clubhouse, Bluetooth digital screens in the golf cart with Bluetooth speakers. For an extremely amateur golfer, you can’t beat the price for what you get. The greens were probably punched a couple weeks prior to booking , which could have affected price point. Nevertheless, when I come back to the beach, I’ll hit here again.

Fun golf course

My wife and I played this course on our trip. I would highly recommend this for any handicap player. Easy enough to not lose too many golf balls and difficult enough to challange everyone. Greens rolled nice and fairways were in good shape.
