Eagle Nest Golf Club
About
Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.
Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

Great course and great value!
I really enjoy playing this course when I visit the area. It’s a good combination of challenging holes and room for error on tee shots. My only negative are the heather grass clumps near the greens. Lost a ball in there and was only 5 yards right of the green.
Eagle nest
Great Course, my husband and I enjoyed playing the only reason I gave a three on the pace of play was it there was a group of five women playing and it seems like everyone caught up to them at the same time thank heavens they were only playing nine. They slowed us down for three holes then everything went back to normal.
Eagle nest
Great price, course and starter all aspects of the course were outstanding.
Will play on return visit.
Great Experience!
Great course! Excellent staff! The pace of play was slow but other than that it was a fantastic day with my two sons on the course.
Nicest and best staff around. Those guys are great. I've played there several times and been served by several staff and all are fantastic. The course is a bit difficult for me, but I love it. The only downside I would say is that if it rains within 48 hrs there, you are at best 90 degree rule. Sometimes it's cart path only, but the course is always in great shape so I assume that's why.
Friendliest Staff!!!
From the moment I pulled up to the course the staff was welcoming and accommodating. I brought my young son who is learning the game and was worried about how the course would react. They engaged him and were in full support of getting young golfers the right introduction to the game. Pace of play was kept moving. Prices for golf, apparel, food and drinks were a great deal! Will go back here again for sure.
This is a great course for the money. The course was in great shape.
Not great
The staff wasn’t the most friendly. Also when we played the first round, groundskeeper maintenance staff in vehicles were everywhere in front of us on several of the first few holes on the front 9 and refused to move or stop when we hit. At one point there was 4 vehicles moving around directly in front of us. We were told we played “too fast” lol whatever that means. We were the first ones out and no other golfers were there. The manager did comp us a free round the next day which was appreciated. Still, I doubt we will play the course again.
Best course value around
This course offers great value. The layout is fairly challenging. Greens and fairways are well manicured.
Best course for the price.
This course represents what a beach course looks like. It was beautifully maintained, the lay out was a challenge. The course kicked my butt. But all I could say is how great the course looked.
Second time a charm
Played Eagles Nest on a rainy November day a whike back. This time - nothing but sun! Great course.
Bang for the buck
Friendly staff class act all the way around first class golf course
