About
Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.
Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

Great course - slow pace of play
Staff were friendly , course was in great shape. Nicely landscaped , open fairways, challenging greens. All that was super. The one downside was the pace of play was terribly slow. I’m hoping it was an anomaly where they were just overbooked or some unusual circumstance. Front 9 took about 3 hrs. At least the surroundings were pleasant while waiting for sev groups at a time to tee off before us.
Loved the course
Although pace of play was super slow, the course was lot of fun and very pretty! Loved it and would def come back.
Great value in N Myrtle Beach
Eagle Nest is a beautiful gem in Myrtle Beach. Course was in great shape, greens were beautiful but a little slow. Everyone from the proshop staff to cart girl were friendly and helpful. The course is a bit narrow so accuracy is important off the tee.

Course is beautiful. My husband plays often and decided to bring me along just to ride. The man at the front desk was extremely rude and miserable, to the point we almost left. Decided to read some reviews and saw that others had the same complaint regarding the same man, I’m sure. Really put a damper on the day.
Conditions much improved
The course was in much better shape than when I played two years ago. Greens in very decent shape. I like the layout, and I will now come back more often.
Fun Day
This was a wonderful course to take my first swings of the year. Staff were excellent and very friendly. Course layout was enjoyable and after the first couple f holes the pace of play was steady. Greens were small, fast and true. Fairways were in good shape. An enjoyable round and for the price would recommend.
Great Course
This course has the best conditions we found in the area. There is grass on the fairways unlike some courses and greens are in really good shape. The greens are a little fast but getable. Really like the layout, even the water holes. Staff are very friendly. The Pro Shop has some great merchandise. Will definitely play here again.
Will play again!
Really sorry we didn’t golf this course earlier in our trip. Plenty of doglegs and water to make it challenging. Greens were also challenging. Not just flat like other nearby courses.
Group of 8 outing
Group of 8 played Eagles Nest on April 5th. Great Staff,Super friendly.
They have done a Great Job with the Course. Fairways are plush and Greans are in great shape role true. Great day on a Great course. Definitely recommend.
Great day for golf
Had an enjoyable round. The greens were in great shape, as well as the fairways. The sun was out which added to the day. Will play again.
Not in great shape
Fairways were in terrible condition. The rough is basically hard pack sand and pine needles. Greens were ok. Pretty slow though. Pace of play was good. Barely anyone at the course.
