Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.

Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

Well It Is Winter

Good layout and practice facilities. Very slow greens. Fairways were dormant which was expected but also hard as a rock which was not expected. Pace of play was fair until 16th hole when we hit a brick wall with four different groups playing or waiting.

Eagle's Nest

Although this course is fairly close to local highways, it was very quiet and peaceful. Green surfaces were a bit rough, mostly from golfers not fixing their ball marks, etc. All the course staff was very friendly. Temps in the upper 70's and not much wind in Febr made it a great day.

Good test of golf.

I've played here a few times in the past 20 years of vacations & now resident. The course is a local favorite, always in descent conditions year round. The staff is friendly and the range has improved tremendously over the past 3 years. Be ready to be tested with pace of play, it's never a sub 4 hr. round.

Great track

Easy check in. Nice range and friendly staff. Winter so grass was dormant but greens ran smooth and fast. Little slow pace but we did not mind, still finished in 4 hours and 10 min. Would definitely come again.
