Augustine Golf Club
About
Carved from Stafford County's rolling, emerald green hills, Augustine Golf Club plays across a scenic landscape abundant with mature pines and hardwoods. The pristine white bunkers and the lush fairways contrast nicely with the trees. The course conveniently sits just 30 miles from the Washington Beltway. In 2011 when the golf course was acquired by Raspberry Golf Management, who are responsible for several courses in the area, Augustine underwent major renovations that increased its playability. The greens, fairways, rough, bunkers, and tee boxes were all redone. The layout offers a challenge but is gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence. Included in a round of golf at Augustine are range balls and unlimited use of the driving range, which has different targets and a large putting green.

Tough
Good course! Front nine very difficult for average player!! Back is more forgiving! Bring lots of balls if your a bogey player!
For as many stars that this course rated, it was in bad shape. Needs a ton of maintenance. 5 temp greens, very muddy and a lot of sand in the greens. I would try again after the maintenance is complete.
Course shape
5 greens were under construction. Grass had been mowed and all clippings had been left on the course. The greens that were not underconstruction were in terrible condition. They had crab grass and dead spots. I did not ha r one true roll all day. Not worth your money stay away.
Golf
The course has some of the greens closed. The greens that was opened, was all ate up. They cut the grass and left if on the course. I paid $45 dollars for a course that is in the worst condition of any courses in the area.
Disappointed Outing
Conditions were terrible. Fairways and greens were terrible.
Paying premium for nothing
I played today, and it was genuinely one of the worst experiences I’ve had golfing in a long time. The fairway was fine for the most part, sands were not kept up even in the slightest, and the greens were in horrible condition. I am truly disgusted with how much it costs to play and what you get for your money. We got a “hot deal” for $57 on a tee time that usually costs around $70 and the maximum I should have paid for those course conditions was $30. Stuck behind a walking foursome, who I can only assume were members, of which we approached 4 different times at tee boxes, while I was with one partner and we were in a cart, and they refused to let us play through. The Marshall was a good guy though, I guess that’s what the $40 extra was for.
Needs work
Usually love playing this course, but the greens are in terrible condition. Would have liked to know the current state before playing.
Augustine - First Time
The Pro Shop staff was friendly and the starter - Al - was very friendly. It was a bit awkward that the range doesn’t allow woods - only irons - but that is primarily a consequence of the available real estate. The course layout is very good, with a lot of doglegs and holes that require course knowledge and careful club selections. The fairways were in reasonably good shape but the greens were awful - either baked/brown or with crab grass growing on them, which indicates shortcomings/lack of attention from the grounds crew. That said, the course was generally enjoyable to play and I will definitely play it a second time (and a third and a fourth and . . . )
Nice course but...
Most of the course was in pretty good shape, however a lot of the greens were terrible. Crabgrass on the greens and bald spots.
Hot hot hot
Course played great. Over 100 today. Played in little more than 3 hours. Great round.
Great Layout
Great layout requiring shots to stay in the fairway or be punished severely. Greens were slow for the most part!
Beautiful par 3's and never boring. High handicappers bring plenty of golf balls but you will certainly enjoy the view.
Nice course -- will play again
The course forces you to be creative. There are a lot of less than driver holes that leave a long iron in. The greens, tee boxes, and fairways were all in great shape. However, the rough had a few patchy spots (not a big deal). I recommend playing early so you don't get caught in beach traffic driving down 95. I'll definitely play again.
Great round of golf.
The course was in good shape, greens were a little slow, but the fairways were in very good shape.
Decent but expensive on the weekends.
First off, the starter was incredibly rude. We were 5 minutes early when we met him and he told us in a very condescending tone to get on the tee box. We started and by the 4th hole we caught up to the 3some in front of us. We stayed behind them until 15 when they finally let us pass. There was no one behind us the entire time until the slow play of the three ahead of us caused a pileup at around 10.
Beer cart girl was friendly. So I guess not everyone there is rude. No interaction with any of the other staff besides her and the starter, and the Marshall (who was very friendly).
The course wasn’t in the best shape which is why I thought the price tag was a bit much. Views were nice, course is wide open. Overall a decent experience but you can find nicer courses in NOVA for the price.
Great Course
This course is local for me, and therefore extremely convenient to get out and play on. Despite that, this course is always in great condition and can be challenging depending on the tees you select to play from. The course layout forces you to keep the driver in the bag on some of the par fours and few holes are wide open and forgiving from the tee box. Will certainly be back to play again soon!
