Canyon Lakes Golf Course & Brewery

Course is mostly in poor condition. The greens were ok and fast, but that was about it.

It's been a long time coming but they finally fixed the traps. Greens were good. Fairways watered where they need to be. Was a little weird that you aren't allowed to check in until 5 minutes before tee time. Otherwise smooth round and always a good challenge.

It’s a short course but tough layout course, risk reward holes. Tough par 3s. Fairways in good condition but Tee Boxes could use some work. Greens are fast.

I play here a few times a month. It’s good value and a nice/challenging layout in decent condition.

However, every single time the pace of play is slow, but the marshal is usually out and very good at telling people to pick it up or get off the course. Not today though. It tools us close to 3 hours to play 9 and we left after that. There was a group of 12 (not all at the same tee time) in front us. It backed everyone up to the point we’d have three foursomes at a tee box. This is unacceptable.

Clearly the course can’t know if someone shouldn’t be out there (this group should not have been) but they have to police this via the Marshall. It’s excruciating and the 12 super hacks in front of us were clueless.

I’m going to skip playing here for a while. It’s just too painful to play a 6 hour round.

The course was a little soggy after a couple of days of rain, but still very playable. Some fairways were a little thin on grass so you saw the dirt underneath. Great views on 17 & 18. I'll come back again soon.

Play Canyon the 2nd times. Good course for the price. The only complaint is that they do not check u in until ur tee time & no place for u to warm up

I played this all summer and it was heavily trafficked. The last few weekends it hasn’t been as slammed, but still slower than it should be.

The course seems to be in a “little” better shape than this summer. Some of the traps have been worked on. Not that you have to play them (COVID rules) but in the summer one was completely under repair and a mud pit if you hit your ball in it.

Enjoying this course, especially for the value.

Greens were great; fairways were ok on about 3/4 the holes but the rough and fairways were ok but not the greatest. It was tough trying to figure out target and landing zones on my 1st time out. Not long but we fun with the elevation changes from drive to approach.

Counter person was very rude. Backed up over a half hour.

I play here pretty regularly, the tee boxes on some holes have been pretty beat up this year. There is also a lot of hard pan/dirt patches in the fairway. The layout of the course is fun and I enjoy their beer on draft.

It does get very backed up out there. However, the marshals actually do their job here and will tell people to pick it up or get off.

Overall, I think the course charges a fair price given the area this is located. $72 with a cart is okay with me, but then again for another $20ish you can play Poppy.

I really like the layout of this course and like the variety of holes. However....the conditions on Holes 14 and 16 were really bad (3 foot high weeds in bunker on Hole 16 as an example). Compare that to the fresh sand and great looking bunkers on Hole 17. Greens are fairways are currently in good shape, but bunkers are awful for the most part and aren’t even really playable. Friendly staff and great beer tip this towards a recommend for me, but PLEASE put some maintenance into the bunkers and holes 14 and 16.

A lot of the tee boxes need to get refilled with sand and seed, a lot of dry patches on the fairway, greens are pretty good I wished people would fix their divot marks.

The course looks like their also working on changing their sand traps, a lot of them were in GUR, or some had new construction sand and you can see the lip boundary.

We played around 11am and it was really hot. A narrow course, with a lot of angulation on the greens.

Would like to see more maintenance on tee boxes and fairways. Lastly, cheaper rates as well.
