Course improvements coming
Love this track even as much as the bridges next door. Sure no range but there is a net to get lose and if you truly need range drive 4 minutes to the bridges up the road and swing on back. Classic course with blind shots, narrow fairways, raised greens, and undulations. The course is in the process of fixing a few bunkers and once those are in, the course will be perfect. Until then play the bunkers like any course during these times..... ground under repair.
Twilights used to Include carts for around 30 now its 23 to walk. Absolutley no on course supervision, really common to get stuck behind people who have no business being on a golf course, and try and hit every shot regardless. With that being said, dont be surprised to see walkers, bikers, dogs coexisting on the golf course u paid 23 dollors to walk on? Most of these people have no clue of golf manners or etiquette so dont be shocked if they just keeping walking in your backswing, it happens to me all the time. Conversely, the course has an awesome layout and processes a lot of scorable holes, greens are mediocre and inconsistent but better than most! Overall pretty nice place, just needs
to hire a Marshall.
Accommodations
The Course is extremely poorly prepared for players with disabilities. Disabled people should be allowed to pick up their bags from their cars or otherwise be driven by staff from their cars to the cart area.
None of the water stations had coolers with water on a mid nineties Fahrenheit day.
Probably the last time I’d play here
So I arrive and the three some that booked to leave the empty single spot open was apparently actually a 4 some for a group of members of the course. I don’t go play a round of golf to play solo. But that’s how it played out. 4 members pushed me out to play as a single and the twosome who were also members with whom I may have been paired up with apparently no showed.
Course condition was just okay. Obviously with the SIP, there was time for fairways and greens to recover. But the sand traps and many areas around the greens looked like a scene from I AM LEGEND if there was a golf course scene in the movie.
The only bright spot to this golf course was the Marshall. Such a good dude and made his rounds to do what he could to accommodate all players in the field.
There are plenty of golf courses in the Bay Area... if you have to choose, you can pass up on this place.
Incredible layout/scenery
Beautiful course and pace of play was excellent. Staff was extremely friendly and will definitely return
Country Club Feel
This course meanders around this Canyon Lakes development and so has a country club type of layout with homes lining a fair number of holes. The greens were true and putts rolled well. Tee boxes needs improvement as a number of them were patchy and unkempt.
Overall, this course was close to home and great value at $34 including cart.
Fairways and greens in great shape. Course knowledge helps on some holes. Some tee boxes not level. I have no real complaints course was in good shape.greens medium speed but rolled true. The only issue I had was at the turn I could not buy a Gatorade. Stood at the counter for a few minutes and nobody there. We teed off on time and played in 3 and a half hours. I will return.
Great to be back out!
My first post-COVID round. Great to be out. The course was in decent condition and was playing well. The noodle in the hole was easy to play with.
COVID-19 failures
I’m truly disappointed with not only golf now the canyon Lakes golf club and brewery. I arrived on site today a good hour prior to my pre-purchased hot deal teatime. Upon checking in I was told by the only staff member available that they were one hour behind and there were no golf carts available? Since I’m a handicap person this is obviously going to pose a problem one because a hot deal purchase Is not refundable and less play is disruptive for some reason due to weather etc. I would suggest it if I cannot play at the designated teatime that I paid for in advance as well as not being able to use a car to participate since I’m handicapped that would be deemed as a refundable activity. I don’t recommend going to Canyon Lakes until they get better control of the current situation they were severely understaffed and there was a lot of confusion dealing with customers. I’m truly disappointed with both golf now and Canyon Lakes and I think golf now should possibly consider refunding based on circumstances like this but the software on the website does not allow a person to do so ??
Very disappointed
