About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Enjoyable
We had a good time, the course was in good shape, & for some reason not very crowded so we had a relaxing 18. Would definitely recommend.
Average overall.
Some of the greens were in rough shape.
A number of the fairways had hazards crossing them thereby limiting driving holes. Making it more like target golf.
Gem in the making
This course is on the rise putting effort into bringing it back. Greens verti seeded not long ago and results r quite promising tboxes freshly reseeded and growth is good will b cut as soon as infancy of new seed is well established good effort there as that will pay off in excellent tboxes. Great layout all club selections off boxes to put myself in position to score. Will play again
Rough conditions
From the time you enter the parking lot, you know thing aren’t good. Leaves, pine straw everywhere, asphalt in disrepair.
The course was pretty wet, so no roll, and the greens had damage due to disease. The course layout was great, just yardage marked poorly, as was the water hazards.
Staff was very accommodating, pace was great, so no field Marshall require, not that was one.
Seems like a very right community. Management clearly doesn’t put any Money into the course, what a shame
Better to spend your Money elsewhere for a better experience
Better than the first time
I had played here onetime a few years ago and the course was in need of some TLC.
It appears that this is taking place now. The course had a few wet spots, and the 10th green needed some help. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and will play it again.
Coming Along Nicely
Indigo Creek is a local course to me. I typically play it to work on my game (as poor as it may be). I couldn't help but notice that they are really fixing up the greens (which had previously had some damage due to disease and or infestation). I am really looking forward to the spring as this fall and winter should allow things to continue to improve. Great job maintenance team!!!
Course layout was really great. Unfortunately when we were there the greens were not cut and it was like a fuzzy peach or shag carpet. Other than that it was good
Nice course for the price
A little tight with tress and water. Fairways were good, some dead spots on some greens. Liked the variance in holes - some straight, some dogleg left, some dogleg right.

Overall, course was in good condition except for the greens. Many greens seemed to be damaged. Staff was excellent.
Greens need TLC
Overall course was challenging but green have bare spots. Hopefully they will grow back. Will play again.

Some greens were in rough shape
Other than some greens were poor we followed a foursome that played quickly unless they lost a ball. 10 minutes on one hole. Always searching by committee of four.
Not in good condition actually
Design correct. Greens and sand traps in bad conditions. Fairways ok. Friendly employees.
