About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Nice course for the price
A little tight with tress and water. Fairways were good, some dead spots on some greens. Liked the variance in holes - some straight, some dogleg left, some dogleg right.

Overall, course was in good condition except for the greens. Many greens seemed to be damaged. Staff was excellent.
Greens need TLC
Overall course was challenging but green have bare spots. Hopefully they will grow back. Will play again.

Some greens were in rough shape
Other than some greens were poor we followed a foursome that played quickly unless they lost a ball. 10 minutes on one hole. Always searching by committee of four.
Not in good condition actually
Design correct. Greens and sand traps in bad conditions. Fairways ok. Friendly employees.
Great value
Was still a wonderful time. Greens were messed up a bit but I believe they got some sort of fungus that hurt them. They will come back strong. And for the money it is still worth a wonderful day of play.
Greens are TERRIBLE
Greens were so terrible is hard to judge the rest of the course staff was friendly. I'll just leave it at that.

Get What You Pay For
Would have rated this course much higher if the greens were in better shape. Many of them had large bare spots that made putting difficult at best. No drinking water on course. Available for $2 a small bottle!
