Greens were fast because of the dry grass conditions. Gorgeous views of the mountains and challenging layout.

All in all, had a fun time with the group we played with.

Have played this track a number of times and, each time, I tell myself I’ll never come back. The only reason I do is to play with clients who are impressed by the fact that it’s a Nicklaus design and it’s super easy to get a tee time. The fact that the Golden Bear himself has likely never set foot on the property, or even consulted on the design, is immaterial to them. Blessedly I’m on an expense account when I play here because if this is a $100+ track I’m a space alien.

The condition of the course can be summed up as decent tees and greens with concrete in between. The fairways are like a Texas muni on steroids. The lies are so tight around the greens that chipping and pitching are virtually impossible.

The layout is massively tricked up. Idiotic bounces abound on well played shots. The greens are so sloped that to find fair pin positions is near impossible.

The staff are uncaring at best, rude at worst. Because of lack of play they all disappear around 2-3pm. We went out as a four ball and behind us the starter put out two twosomes and a single. We had to let them all through thus disrupting the flow of our round. The carts have unbelievably annoying alert messages that keep popping up.

The snack bar was closed when we made the turn at 2:45 and the pro shop was shuttered as well. There is no drinks cart roaming the course. This is bare bones even for COVID!

There are courses in the area at a fraction of the price that are far better on all accounts.

Please do not support this establishment. The owners do not care about the customers, the pro shop does nothing about their own mistakes. No one picks up the phone, no one responds to emails. For the price you’re paying, they are scamming on the highest level. Everyone associated with this golf club should be banned from the sport in perpetuity.

This course is very challenging and it’s necessary to remain focused on every shot Each hole is designed to make you think you way around the course. I love to playing this course

I have reviewed Angeles National before, but this golf course is worth another look. It remains one of my favorite LA-area golf facilities. My only complaint would be the seeming lack of inventory tee times and the standard weekend rate. Anytime I see an available tee time for less than $100, I jump on it. The course remains challenging but fair and straightforward and good shots will be rewarded. We battled light drizzle then rain for most of the afternoon before a downpour eventually washed us off the 16th hole, which was disappointing because the last three holes are perhaps the most memorable on the entire course. I intend on making many future returns to Angeles National where all aspects of my game can be fairly tested and the course is full of serious (if not aspiring professional) golfers.

Second time playing this course. The here were wind gusts of 50mph that day, despite a regional wind advisory they declined to allow me to cancel 24hrs in advance. Both times I’ve played here course conditions are good, no hall marks or dry patches, very well maintained. A good course overall but +$90 a round on a weekday is steep, granted this IS LA.

Overall it is a very nice course. During this time of the season I understand certain grass types maybe discolored. Fairways were a yellow hue, a bit hard, but overall did not negatively impact play. Front 10 were cart path only, but guys behind us did not follow this request and they we’re on our grass for the front 7ish. This effects the pace of play if you follow request. The greens were tough, sometimes speeds unpredictable but definitely worth the difficulty. I would def golf here again.

this is a wonderful golf course. i recommend using the appropriate tee boxes for your handicap. this course can be very challenging at times, and teeing off on the wrong tee boxes might prove frustrating and diminish how much you enjoy this place.
