played on 01/12/21.. fairways were pretty bare due to season.. which was very clearly stated beforehand.. so no qualms there.. making the lies very tight. no cushion whatsoever. Greens are like carpet on asphalt.. very fast that day.. giving you a feel of what pros deal with..kinda fun that way.. would love to play this course in pristine conditions later in spring.

Course in good shape. Fairways dormant and tight, course tightly mown around the greens so chipping is a challenge. No beverage cart, place seems to be taking Covid pretty seriously. Greens were in good shape overall. Bunkers always hit or miss here, some good some thin and pebbly. Carts are good, but constantly reminding you that you’re behind the pace. Not our fault, group ahead seemed pretty slow, but never saw a Marshall to speed things up. Honestly pace was 4:30 so not terrible, most annoying part was having to clear the warning on the cart every time we wanted to get a distance.

$80 hot deal time on a Saturday was worth it, but never pay full rate here.

This is an excellent and very fun course to play.

It was my first time playing it and I shot a 78,which for a 18 handicapper,was very good.i was on fire that day,I missed 4 fairways and missed 5 greens all day and no 3 putts.only 1 double bogey and that was on the 17th hole,which I tried to go for the green and eventually had to drop a ball and out of frustration,let that get to me,only to find that I did indeed cut that desert corner and drove past the green and when I was done,I looked up and saw my ball had made it over that cut corner,Anyways I'm excited to play it again very soon,but for $156 to play,that will be tough!! But I have an app that let me play that course for $50 that day,so I got a killer deal,$100 off,but overall I highly recommend this course,fantastic layout and I'd give it a 10 rating.

Although the greens are firm and fast (which I love); it’s quite amazing how expensive it is. There is a reason why pretty much all the tee times are available 2 days out. They can’t possibly draw a crowd with $150 greens fee prices for a place like that. It’s at the point where this is the place with tee times (like all their tee times) available at a decent quality course and now I’d rather go for a hike than pay that price.

I played Angeles crest many times, and have always enjoined this challenging course.

What has been consistent each and every time is the cavalier attitude of the staff. They are super unfriendly, Every family member, friend and colleague I've chatted with have had the same experience. During my last visit I'll left a Bluetooth speaker in my cart, I didn't realize it until hours after I completed my round. You can never, and I mean never get anyone on the phone who is actually at the course. They use a third-party service to answer the phone and will not connect you with the clubhouse. That being said it's a great golf course as long as you don't have to interact with the staff.

I treat myself only once a year because this course is too expensive. I live 15 minutes away and this course blows any L.A City or Ventura course away! But, Its too expensive!! Rates should be right around $70.00. I would like to make this my home course but its JUST TOO EXPENSIVE!!!

Reasonable layout, nothing special. Fairways were tight and dry, which lead to fun challenging short game. Greens were littered by unprepared pitch marks which was a shame as they looked and ran great otherwise.

Had a good day out with friends but this was a $80 course at absolute most. $169 could be spent so much better elsewhere

The website said individual carts, but on arrival we were asked to share because they were going to run short. No range balls included in the $165 fee. Got a medium bucket for $14 which had approximately 30 balls. No pin sheet to determine flag location on the greens. No on course food or beverage and personal ice chests were not allowed. Pace of play is posted as a 4 hours 10 min but the round took almost 5 hours because of the 2 groups ahead of us. No marshal to speed play, just a constant reminder from the cart on how far behind the pace we were. I would not recommend to a friend.

Fun course with a solid layout, but it definitely feels overpriced. Most of the course was in great condition. The greens were fast but had lots of wear and tear on them.

Fairways were a little sparse. Bunkers a little inconsistent. Greens in good shape. Need some course knowledge.
