CrossCreek Golf Club
About
Situated amidst the beauty of the Temecula Valley, CrossCreek Golf Club enjoys a peacefully secluded setting enclosed by groves of mature oak and sycamore trees. Arthur Hills designed the course, using the rolling hills to incorporate tricky blind shots to elevated greens. His design is a true test of target golf. There is plenty of variety throughout the golf course with some holes that are framed by towering treetops and other holes that are wide-open, subjecting them to the prevailing winds. You won't find too many greenside bunkers but there are many fairways bunkers. Be prepared to use every club in your bag on this golf course. One of CrossCreek Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 17th, which is carved into a rocky hillside. The green is similar to that of the notorious 12th hole at Augusta National, featuring a bushy creek protecting the front.

Slowest Pace of Play
*** Disclaimer ***
I have played this course at least 8 times in the last 6 months. I am no where near a good golfer, as my handicap with the SCGA is a 13, since the last year. I am however really good at shanking balls and business ethics.
This review is for today, and today only as it rubbed me the wrong way like PeeWee Herman would rip himself in a theatre. Every other time I have played this course it was good. Challenging, and hard because of the pin placements. But the problem was the lack of professionalism with the clubhouse/Marshall.
Never have I played a course where I have seen 17 carts stacked on one hole. This was comical until we waited 35 minutes to hit our tee shot. This was also the same hole that I called the clubhouse once I got service to get a Marshall out on the course to speed the pace of play or send us to another hole. The carts have GPS, they should’ve seen this from the screen in the club house. Once met by said Marshall, he said there was nothing he could do. Any idiot that has ever been in business and knows customer loyalty knows this is the absolutely a fallacy. 17 carts, 34 golfers and this is the answer they receive on a Sunday at 11:00 after paying $89.00.
***Recommendation***
I will never identify a problem with a business without providing a solution, that’s irrational and doesn’t provide them an answer based off the bias we see.
1. Suggest you all read “leading loyalty” by: Sandy Rogers. This will prove that your employee’s mindset does not align with your essential success as a people business.
2. The last thing that should be vocalized is, there is nothing we can do. There is always a solution. whether it is a refund, lunch, a sleeve of balls – something to be reciprocated for the problem identified. This is simple business etiquette and how you bring back loyal customers.

Slow play
Starter was proud that they spaced their tee times out every 10 minutes but the course was backed up for our whole round. several times we came to the next hole with two groups on the tee waiting to tee off making us the third group. No sign of a ranger anywhere.Problem could have been solved by putting twosomes together as foursomes. Most groups were 2 and there was probably one slow foursome somewhere out of site that was setting the pace on the course. We like this course a lot and the layout and conditions are generally pretty good. Hard to have a nice round when you wait on every tee box and before every shot.
Clear your entire Day
Honestly this is a decent course. Not amazing, but decent. Fairways are iffy, off the fairways is really patchy, but the greens are excellent. I usually ignore reviews about pace of play. But then I got out here and was appalled. No marshal to drive around and get people moving or make them skip ahead. I played 14 holes in 5 hours, then called it quits. There was no one on 17 & 18, so I found the slow group. Anyways, average course, decent price, terribly managed
Great Course
Friendly staff and Great Course condition. We had a Great Time !!!
So much potential
Positives first… I loved the layout of this course. It was a nice combination of target golf and “grip it and rip it”. Greens were in excellent condition (nice firmness, and a little quick), tee boxes were maintained and rotated frequently. The fairways were in decent shape. “Cart lady” was very nice and provided great service!
Negatives: pace of play was awful. Yes, I played on a Sunday at 10:40, but it took 5+ hours. There wasn’t much of a noticeable difference between the fairways and rough. The rough wasn’t all that penalizing.
There’s so much potential for this course as long as the management treats it as such and maintains it. Don’t recommend a weekend with the slow pace, but I love the track!
Horrible pace of play in afternoon due to a membership promo they enacted. 3 groups waiting on several tee boxes.
5plus hour round, 20 minute wait on some tee boxes. Unfair pin positions. Poor experience.
Great value
Played 3 days in a row at Cross Creek. Extremely friendly including all of the maintenance staff. Course layout is great, conditions of tee boxes, fairways and rough iwas average and the greens were excellent. I’ll come back every time I’m in the area.
Great course with awesome views
This course winds through the foothills and above Temecula making for some spectacular views. The staff is awesome. The course is n good shape greens flawless and fast. Fairways were well groomed and there was sand on the traps. Overall a great place to play if you hit the ball straight. If not this course will cause you to lose lots of balls so make sure you bring plenty. Even if you do hit it straight you will be challenged by sloped fairways and may ned to lay up in some spots. Had a great time and loved the course.
