I can't quite give this course 5 stars - mostly because the course conditions don't quite merit 5 stars. And, the driving range and food/beverage services are actually below average for the area. On the course, the greens were great - but only 4 stars. There were just too many unrepaired ball marks on every single green! The fairways were above average - but not great. The tees were above average, but are beginning to get uneven. Some work needed here. The sand traps were a total mess! A few (maybe 20%) actually had some sand. But most were a mix of wet dirt and gravel! Not good. Overall, the course conditions get 4 stars. But I the course layout is great - with a great variety of holes!

The other reason this course doesn't merit 5 stars is that the overall service was just not very good. The check-in process was slow - even though there was only 1 person in front of me. (Less socialization and more work!) The carts were filthy. They all looked like they hadn't been cleaned in days (weeks?). Garbage and food items were left in the carts from prior golfers. Yuck! And trying to get something to eat and drink after my round was ridiculous! For the first 5 minutes I couldn't find anyone at the food/beverage window. Then after a woman arrived in the food/beverage area I waited another 4-5 minutes for her to finish her conversation with another "worker" before she decided to find out why I was standing at the counter! I know it is tough to find good help, but that was just ridiculous! I should have just walked out - but I was thirsty and hungry. The drink was cold - yea! But the sandwich was not good - probably made hours earlier (dry bread). Definitely not worth waiting for. I will be back because I like the layout of this course. But pretty much every other area could use improvement! For the price, this was only an average value.

I went to play here after 2:00 PM and the price was unbeatable for how nice the course is. It wasn’t packed at all either. I had lots of fun playing here. It’s pretty wide open, no houses are around at all and the scenery is beautiful. Definitely recommend. I’ll be coming back again soon!

Cross Creek is worth the hour drive from San Diego. It’s a beautiful place!

Early for tee time and because of schedule no problem getting out. 3 hrs to play WOW! Nuff said.

Bring your A+ game to this course! Greens are in great shape! Target golf is what you need for this course but overall fun layout! I got the deal on golf now and it’s well worth the price!

Cross Creek was absolutely beautiful. Wonderful true rolling greens, nice bunkers, well maintained fairways in a wonderful setting. Not one hole was next to another. It’s a rambling string of holes in a glorious valley with magnificent mansions high above in the surrounding hills. It’s a hidden gem that I will return to play for sure!

Good vibe upon arrival...very courteous employees from the cart crew to the mobile drink lady.

Nice layout, fairways in good shape, quick putting greens in good shape, wish previous golfers would learn to repair pitch marks on greens.

GPS on carts were spot on and the coolers were nice to have on a warm day.

Worth the money, you won't be disappointed.

This course has been well maintained all year. When other courses are struggling to staff their maintenance teams, these guys are still producing quality. All traps were raked and they are even re-leveling / sodding tee boxes. Well done!

The course is a tad off the beaten path but the benefits are 10 fold. Located up in the micro climate of DeLuz( think Fallbrook Avocado country in Temecula) with no homes along the holes to distract you from your celebratory bogey! The course has always been a challenge with elevation changes and forced carries, but the cooler summer temps and generally well watered course, it's always a pleasure. The staff is a benchmark for other courses at twice the price. Relax and enjoy the getaway, but that's no gimme for a low score!

Course was in good shape. Tough course if u have not played there before. Great value.
