About
ChampionsGate Golf Resort, an un-matched golf facility for world-class golf, offers 36 holes designed by International golf champion Greg Norman and is the World Headquarters of David Leadbetter Golf Academy. Located just 15 minutes from Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Champions has two excellent and very different golf courses on a single site.
Greg Norman blended tradition and modern elements to create a unique golf experience.
The International course, which is the highest rated course in Florida, has the look and feel of a links-style layout in the British Isles. The International offers a golf experience unlike any other in the Orlando area, but one that will be familiar to those who have played the links courses of Scotland and Ireland. The International was designed, constructed and seeded to offer a hard, fast playing surface similar to those found on true links courses. The International, with 18 of the most dramatic and challenging holes in Florida, is destined to rank among the top resort courses in the country.

The course was in excellent condition. No complaints.
The course was challenging, moreso than my group would have liked. Tee off focused up if you want a score that resembles your typical handicap.

Course in Great condition
The course was in great condition as it had just opened up after maintenance. The greens were fast and firm. The staff was helpful and assisted with my tee time. The pace was great as we finished in under four hours.

Champions Gate-In great shape
Was an early tee time, but really very few groups on the course overall. Played in 3 hours.
Incredibly manicured, course almost no divots greens were super smooth.
cart attendant was nice and so was server in the restaurant.

Covid 19 - Beware
Great course.
BEWARE- the course is not enforcing social distancing and requiring that all golfers pair up in the golf carts. The reason is that they cannot support operating two golf courses choosing money/convenience v. safety and health.
All this while the governor and the county mandate social distancing. NOT ACCEPTABLE
Thank you for your review! We are very happy that you enjoyed the golf courses and are sorry that you did not like our shared rider policy. We handle each request for single cart usage on a case by case basis and do everything that we can to honor requests based on course/cart demands. Unfortunately, weekend mornings are more difficult to honor these requests than at other times.
We are following the stipulations of Executive Order 20-139 from the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the enforcement agency of this Executive Order. The Golf Florida Alliance has received written clarification form Secretary Halesy Beshears allowing all sporting events in Florida to happen at capacity and this applies to golf courses ( including the use of golf carts), tennis courts, and outdoor events. This communication refers golf course operators to follow the golf industries Back 2 Golf guidelines version 4.0 that allows shared carts with the stipulation that proper facial coverings are worn by individuals who do not reside in the same household.
We have seen guests who have concerns with shared cart usage when we cannot make an exception either wear a proper facial covering, which we provide complimentary for those needing it, alternate holes using the cart, or walking the entirety of the round. We hope you are able to understand the logic behind this clarification of Executive Order 20-139. We would be happy to discuss this further at your convenience. Most day's we are able to honor single rider requests, however there are times when we are not able to, especially on Friday and Saturday mornings. Championship course very challenging.
Tee boxes and fairways are plush.the greens running about a 10. Sand traps are questionable because of covid crap

Great challenging course
This course will test skills. Fun course but choose wisely on your tee selection. Greens roll NICELY. Overall a great place to play but plan for plenty of time. I’ll be back.

Difficult but fund
The fairways were some of the best I've ever played on. The greens still showed signs of aeration. This is a very difficult course. If you are playing it for the first time, you might want to play from one set of tees up from what you normally play. There is trouble everywhere. There is a lot of trouble you don't see. The carts have a GPS system that gives a pretty accurate picture of the layout for each hole. However, it won't tell you the elevation from side to side of the fairways and greens and that's where you will find severe trouble. There is a lot of water on this course. Bring your water wings.

Fast!
Course played like it should. Greens were fast, it was windy and fairways were firm. Made you maneuver around the course. Alaays a great test and tough track. Can't wait to play again!

Great course
Challenging,..Proximity to the hole is a must the greens are fast and in excellent shape.....the ball rolls true..from tee to green this is a great value to the public..better than most courses in Orlando who invest in taking care of their courses

This is a challenging layout but I just love this course.
Staff is always friendly and helpful. Every course in Central Florida needs water but you can't tell here.
Lots of wildlife was on display today, gators and exotic birds.
