ChampionsGate Golf Club - International

It's a monster & was blowin, rained out at the turn.

Great condition. I got one of the hot deal with late tee time. Maybe this is the reason it’s little chaotic. Great layout, green is fast and nice. Would come back again.

Definitely 4 star, but not a top tier course. Hard to find a flat spot on more than half of the gold tees, a pet pieve of mine on good courses. Fairways good but most not generous. Lots of fairway bunkers in play. Greens mostly long and narrow. Reasonable length on par 3s. Areas off fairways rough and unkempt, visually unappealing and detracting on a course at this price point. Interesting layout. Pace of play 5+ hours. First 9 brutal but second 9 major improvement when ranger told us tournament was over. No tournament was ever announced.

The international course at Championsgate is a challenging course in excellent condition.

Had a fun round of golf today with my wife. Got paired up with local Floridians who were trying the course for the first time too. Practice facilities were in great shape with Callaway range balls. Today the range was about an eighty yd walk from where you parked the carts. Can bring a few clubs or bring your bag. Only suggestion to the staff is to have some tees available next to the practice balls when practicing the driver as we did not bring our entire bag to the range. Practice green in great shape and speed is true to the course.

Staff greeted us when we drove up and they took care of everything. Complimentary valet parking. Check-in was quick. Refreshment cart was very visible throughout our round.

Course Marshall was also visible to check pace of play. Our foursome was a hole behind the group in front and we were encouraged to keep pace of play. Felt more pressure from the group behind but they were a threesome and were bombing their drives +270 yds. Realized that no matter how fast we played, they were going to breath down our necks. I’m a 12 handicap and usually finish rounds 3.5 hr/round at my home club but decided to enjoy the day with my wife and new friends as we are on vacation. At the end, we completed our round in 4hr 15 min. Overall a great day and look forward to trying the other course on site. If you plan to golf in Orlando, put this facility on your list.

Everything was great and our pace was just over 4 hours. What was annoying was constant reminder on gps screens to catch up with group in front of us, even though they were a 2 some and ccx we were a 4.

Must play in the Orlando area . Not that impressed with the NATIONAL Course. So if your going to pick one of the two the INTERNATIONAL course is the ONE. Very challenging. Especially when there’s 30mph winds. Great conditions. Greens were great!

First time playing here. Conditions were quite good, greens in nice shape. Did get a bit slow at times, took 4.5 hours.

We had a pleasent day of golf, it could have been perfect if the sand traps were in better condition.

If you are visiting Central Florida or live in the area, this is a must play course. Beautiful layout, conditions were on point, and the greens rolled true. Plenty of holes will make you sit back and create a plan of attack. Definitely on my list to play again in the near future. The clubhouse also features an awesome bar and restaurant with stunning views which is worth a visit alone.

There are 2 courses at ChampionsGate. The National and the International. They are very different courses. I was hoping Golf Advisor would provide the ability to review them separately - but there is no such option.

Anyway, both courses are great with the International being more challenging. If it's your first time, you should consider moving up a tee or playing with someone with local knowledge. Hazards and hidden trouble are creeping all over the place (particularly on the International). Courses were in top shape and the greens rolling fast for January.

It's not cheap by any means but there are third-party sites to secure less expensive tee times if you do some research.

Played from Black. 6 HC. Less trouble for a lefty. Very challenging. Rough was just cut so lost 2 balls in thick-cut hay. So keep it in play! By #12, I was "conditioned". A little pricey so can't play that often. A nice treat to see a perfect Bald eagle!
