Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa - Pete Dye Resort Course

I have played this course before but this time was probably my last. 1st) They have to shuttle you and your clubs to the clubhouse which takes so much extra time (and might be worth it if the course was in great shape); 2nd) The staff member dropped my clubs off the cart landing on my club heads. It was frustrating and unnecessary. He just hit the cart beside us with the clubs flipping them off the cart pretty hard; and 3rd) they were redoing the bunkers and we couldn’t play hole 18. It was just very expensive for a poorly maintained course. There are so many great courses to choose from that we will not be playing this one again.

Conditions at this course have deteriorated over the years, they are clearly putting less money into maintenance and staff, range, etc.. Still a nice layout, solid greens, but ultimately, nothing on this site indicated the 18th hole (their signature hole) was closed for play due to construction. I would not have booked had I known that, given all the golf options around here - really unfortunate and the pro shop indicated they were trying to get this website to post that the 18th hole was closed.

Good value for the money, need extra time a checkin as staff j=has to come pick you up from the bag drop area. One hole was closed due to bunker repairs.

My double and I were a couple minutes behind.

The moment we arrived, we were greeted with a smile & group accommodations to still enjoy although it was our fault we were late. The spacings of groups and pace of play was amazing. A big shout out to the starter & golf shop staff. At the end of the day, we had access to cart drivers to shuttle us and our clubs back to the car.

Honestly, a wonderful course to play. Would come again.

The course was in great shape. My only peeve is they had the 9th hold closed, they said they were working on the traps. I’m glad they’ve doing maintenance but when we got to the 9th, there wasn’t any equipment or workers on it. I believe we could have played it. Hmmm…

…and now that the Pandemic is over, put the ball washers back.

Condition was questionable at places, bunkers not good - inconsistent! Fairways sparse in places

Pace play good- but could have been better, no ranger 4.5 hours

Saw drink cart once in 18 holes

Course in good shape. Our GPS didn’t work on the cart.

No Marshall during the whole round to speed up play which was unfortunate.

Great course, great amenities, great staff. We will definitely be back.

This course has an odd set up with the back nine divided into two different sections. Condition of the course for a Westin property was not great. Bunkers were not properly raked. Fairways not well repaired. Some interesting holes. Need to be driven from the parking lot to the clubhouse. Nice wide fairways.
