Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa - Pete Dye Resort Course

Enjoyed the round even is a howling wind! Course played difficult. Needs water, many areas brown or worse. Greens rolled true , a fun round even in the wind.

Course conditions were unacceptable. Management obviously skimped on watering during winter.

First off. I was a single. I got off early and caught up to the next group (3) on the second hole. They let me by on the 5th hole. Through the round caught up to three other groups all letting me through within a couple holes. Just an inconvenience for me and them, but certainly my fault and problem.

Always nice to get out on the grass. Course in good condition.

Staff tremendously nice.

Great facility. Course was fun and fair. Some of the trademark Pete Dye railroad ties are rotted and unsightly at the lakes. Would love to see those repaired since they are looking a little rough. Great staff. Course got a little backed up because of slow play. How come Marshall’s don’t Marshall any more? Nonetheless will be back

I know it’s late in the season but the fairways and rough were not in good condition. Having said that they have not adjusted the price even close to the conditions. The staff is amazing but I was disappointed overall.

First time playing the Dye side after a few things on Player, I'll get the negatives out of the way before the good. Nearly every Gold (Blue elsewhere) tee box was crowned left and right, I'm comfortable hitting fades and draws, but I want a level lie on which to choose. Next, the rough was really rough and spotty. I really enjoyed the Pete Dye layout. This course is about right for difficulty for a resort course, the length is shortish and imminently fair to keep things moving along. There's just enough water to make it picturesque, not penal. Last, but best, the greens surfaces were perfect! Rolling putts here was a joy on all 18 greens. Staff was friendly and helpful, I appreciated the driving range too. Most importantly, I'd like to play here again.

Have been coming here for years when vacationing in the desert. Staff has always been friendly and the grounds are well kept.

Not impressed with no shuttle service from parking lot. Usually at a resort course, your golf bags are handled and loaded on your cart. That did not happen. Parking lot is a good 1/4 mile from pro shop. No coffee at Pro Shop, had to walk a significant way to get a coffee in the AM. Felt the layout was not very well thought out for a resort course.

Fairways also had a lot of patchy areas with no grass. Sand bunkers also need more sand. No bathrooms on the back 9. Overall disappointing for the cost of the round.
