Really wet
We played and with all the recent rain, the course was not fun. The greens were in great shape but the fairways were very wet. A number of balls plugged into the muddy wet fairway. Some people lost the ball in h fairway they went so deep. No roll whatsoever in the fairways.
Wait until it drys out. We love this course normally but conditions now are not goood.
enjoyable
Course was in good condition considering all of the rain in the area. Challenging but fair and good shots provide opportunities to score.
A very fun course and great value
I play the course a few times a month and every time I play I'm always surprised on the condition of the course being that it's a muni. The fairways and greens are most always in good shape occasionally you find some GUR, but usually because of a water. They need some work on a number of tee boxes, but I would say it is on par with the vast majority of courses down here. They need to be leveled and filled in at places. I find the pace always moves but it gets traffic so there is your average wait on weekend mornings. It's a great deal for the afternoon rate and find I can place a fast round. The range is decent and usually hitting off grass but occasionally you use the mats. Practice green for chipping is nice and putting green rolls true. The one down side is the staff, they do thier jobs but not the friendliest bunch but by no means rude, just a smile wouldn't hurt. This is a solid 4 star course and tremendous value, definitely a course to check out.
Fun round
This course was a lot of fun especially for it to be the first time playing.
Excellent Course
The course is in perfect conditions. Very challenging with a lot of water in play. The only downside is that there is no Ranger out on the course to monitore pace of play or handle unruly players. Nobody came out after I called the pro-shop complaining about a group of players going in front without asking permission, driving over a green fringe, going back and forth different holes, and it goes on....
Great course for the $$$..
When you arrive , it doesn't look like much, but after playing to the second hole the course opens up nicely.
Great conditions and good character. There is a fair amount of water , so hit them straight and not as long vs. long and not as straight.
Good
Nice and funny golf course. The first 9th holes are a little noisy with the cars, ambulances, etc. from the streets. The second is better. Not so easy golf course, many difficults thru each holes. Carry a lots of balls.
Best Public Course Around
As a south Florida native, I must help my fellow golfers who hop around make a choice. Pembroke Lakes is a must play if you are looking for excellent conditions with a good layout. The tee boxes are two tone. The fairways are flush and the greens are true and fair. Great value just watch out for certain peak times as play can be slow at times.
I should also mention if you are a single like myself, I have been paired with nothing but good people and some decent golfers.
