Indian Hills Golf Club
About
Nestled in the foothills of Riverside County, Indian Hills Golf Club incorporates a range of different elevation changes. The elevated tees provide great views of the surrounding hills while the tricky raised greens make up the bulk of the course's difficulty. Conveniently, the spacious layout doesn't have any parallel fairways. The undulating terrain guarantees that you'll come across a few uneven lies and there are also a few tough blind shots in store. Water hazards come into play on a few holes as do strategically placed bunkers but the focus remains on the dramatic drops and rises of the terrain. There is an especially daunting drop on the 16th hole. The challenging layout and scenic views have built Indian Hills' reputation as one of southern California's best public golf courses.

great to see the course back in shape. Super Intendent doing great things
Second round in two weeks. brought three
friends both times. Great to see the course coming back into shape. Kudos to the Super.
Good day of golf
Had a Hot Deal @ noon, so we took advantage of it. course is in very nice shape, with the rains from a couple months ago really helping everywhere in SoCal. Greens were very nice and receptive. Course conditions continues to improve from years past. Back nine can get windy with mostly up and down holes. Plenty of trees to give you struggles to recover. Overall a great course to come out and enjoy from time to time..
Great Value
I had not played Indian Hills for a few years. The course was in good shape, the pace of play was nice, and the staff was very professional. We had a great time!
Quirky Layout that entertains
if you’re looking for a golf course that is not what you normally play, that is quirky, and has large elevations and drop offs -this is a place for you.
This is definitely a shot makers course, not long , but challenging because of all of the elevated tee boxes, and twists and turns that the course provides.
I played this course once about 10 years ago, but still remembered the holes that I was on when I was there that’s how individualistic and how some of the views are. Hole 16 is an awesome hole probably drops at least 500 feet to the fairway and with a really good drive, you may be able to get within 10 to 20 yards of the green if you can hit it straight.
The staff are super friendly. Everybody was accommodating the only drawback besides the layout, if you’re really a purist , is the fact that the course has no driving range , so make sure you’ve got yourself dialed in before you get there , if not bring at least another dozen balls. Highly recommended. Very fun.
Pace of play
First time playing here. Booked a 7:28 tee time . The course itself was average at best. It is a older course. Pace of play dreadful. Things were decent up until hole 6… at that point it was a waiting game. We were a party of 3 and I would consider my group beginners. We had no problem keeping pace. I find it annoying when a group who isn’t very good decide to play every single ball they hit.. we watch the group in front of us tee off a massive 25 yrd hit and proceed to play that hit on a PAR 5. It’s frustrating.
Golf outing
This course is short but there is still plenty of trouble if you are not in the fairway. Green's are in good shape and so is the course.
It’s a gem! Play here
I thoroughly enjoyed the course. The moment I got there I asked to add a friend to my tee time. Pro shop guy said yes no problem, I’ll move your tee time (15min).
FAIRWAYS kept neat and clean cut with no dirt patches or dry grass. The rough was also maintained well (often times find myself there) and I had no issue finding my ball because the grass was not too thick
GREENS ARE TOUGHER. You have to account for the slope and speed. I found myself with more putts than necessary for not taking my time
The dog leg holes give you a great surprise and challenge.
PACE OF PLAY was great. Never felt pressured from golfers behind and always went at my own pace moving forward. Later in the day around dusk, the deer came to visit which was really neat
