Good course
Greens were decent. Fairways were winter fairways. Layout is nice and the valley beautiful.
Bare fairway, cart with poor brakes, slow pace
The fairways are very bare with very short or no grass after heavy rain. The brakes on the cart I got were hardly working, let alone the 4hour 45min play on a weekday. Will not go back for a while.
Woah! Easy on the green speeds.
I feel like every golf course is going for 12+ stimp greens. we can argue if this is good or bad, but we should be able to agree that not all greens can handle higher stimp ratings due to green slopes. What is the point of a green when you hit it solidly only to have it turn 180 degrees, run 20-30' back and then off the green. Stop the nonsense and give us playable greens. If your greens aren't 70% false-front, then you can probably handle faster stimp, else.... Stay in your lane.
worst course ever
Not asking for pristine conditions but this place is a run down dumpster fire. Do they not care at all.
Hello! We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your time with us! We want to take a moment to address our course conditions, our course is made of Bermuda grass, which goes dormant this time of year. All the courses in the area that use Bermuda grass are a little browner than normal right now. We actually use Bermuda because it is such a nice surface to hit off of even when it is out of season, along with the fact that it helps with water conservation during the summer.
The drainage at our course is better than most in the area. Even with the atmospheric rains we’ve experienced over the last month, our course typically remained open. The increased drainage also allowed us to keep carts on the cart path throughout the rain storms and got players back on the course sooner than many courses without any, or limited cart path restrictions.
We can assure you the course is in great condition and as soon as the season is over our course, and all other Bermuda courses in the area, will be completely green again!
Great Day
Another great day at Spring Valley. My favorite course!!
Great course
Spring valley is a great course. Pace of play was good
Course layout is great. Course is maintained well.
Beautiful Must Play Hidden Gem
Well maintained Course. Fairways have green lush grass. Putting greens wide and will almost always catch your approach shots. A few elevated launch pads from the tee boxes. Expect stacked tee times. Marshal rarely pushes the golfers along. So try for the earliest tee times to finish before dark. The range may be closed. Not sure why. Plenty of chipping and putting practice area. Short Course easy walking should you choose.
Easy tract.
Pretty average for a municipal course. No thrills, but in good condition. Fun for beginners.
Hello, we wanted to take a moment to explain to you the reason the course played so slow the day you were here. We had the longest frost delay of the season that morning, totaling two hours, which led to all golfers having their tee times pushed back and wait times increased. While we know this is frustrating, with tee times being book a week or more out, there is no way to predict when these major frost occurrences will materialize. We do everything possible to accommodate all of the players who have reserved a tee time on the day of play. This is not the usual playing condition of the course, and while we understand it is frustrating, we hope you will give us another chance.
