The Club at Emerald Hills

We've played EH golf course many times over the years. The price was fair for the offseason, and the course was pretty empty for a morning tee time. The greens ran a little slow, and one par 3 on the front was almost un-puttable, but they are in decent shape the rest of the way. Played from the Blue tees to accommodate an older player in our group, and those tee boxes were in horrible shape for the most part. I would typically play one back and those boxes looked better, as well as the tips. The blues must be the most used. We never saw a beverage cart, but it was a slow day. If someone passed by at least once that would be nice. It was an overall good round, we'll be back there.

I've always liked this course and in the past it has been in great shape. I did notice some of the greens are in horrible shape along with some of the tee boxes. Sad to see this incredible course not kept up.

One of the golfers in my group had played the course 15 or so years ago and raved about it....Not anymore. While the layout was fantastic the course is tired and the conditions were poor. Range was in awful shape. Tee decks unkept with little grass, greens on the front were rough especially the first par 3 which is unplayable. The fairways were good and the greens after the first 3/4 holes were pretty good and the best feature. Clubhouse is tired, mould in the locker room.

You can tell at one time this was an exceptional course but unfortunately not anymore. The staff were exceptional from start to finish! Unfortunately this course needs ALOT done to save it. I hate to say i don't recommend.

I tried this course because the courses by me were all full so I figured why not. The course is in a good spot and has the ability to be phenomenal. The staff was amazing and extremely friendly!! Where this course losing it for me is the cost. I don’t mind spending over a $100 for a round of golf, but it needs to live up to the hype and it did not. I saw that the course was advertised with GPS carts and they did not have them. The course was in decent shape with only 1 green that was bad, but still needed work which you could see they were doing. For the conditions of the course the price should have been lower.

What was once the best course in south Florida now has greens that the worst municipal course would be ashamed of. Big holes in the greens, running maybe a 6 on the stimp. The owner is closing the course in a year to make it private and the condition shows. I can’t wait until Hollywood beach opens and there is somewhere else to play.

Fabulous layout but a fading beauty. Tee boxes and greens need water and attention. Range, putting and chipping green were closed. No snack cart. Really only worth playing at under $50 with cart. Hope someone resuscitates this course.

Used to be a great place. I drive 2 hours to play. The staff very nice and helpful. The front nine greens compared to back nine was like playing two different golf courses. Not sure what was being sprayed but they didn’t care if we inhaled it so maybe not bad lol. If front nine greens were like back nine I think I would have said better things just my opinion. Room for improvement could be great place with a little help.

Tee boxes need some TLC! Pace of play was frustrating so we skipped 9rh hole allowing us to move past the group in front of us and we continued on 10th.

Visited the Ft Lauderdale area recently and made a TTime at The Course at Emerald Hills. I had played here several years ago. I only had time to play 2 courses during this visit so I decided to revisit Emerald Hills. From the onset, I was concerned having experienced the first tee box and the first green. Throughout my round I experienced sandy, weedy and bare spots on the tee boxes. The front 9 greens were a mess. Most had patches of bare or weedy spots, some were aerated and top dressed. I experienced the same conditions on the back 9 tee boxes, the back nine greens were in better condition. Overall, the course needed quite a bit of work to warrant the exorbitant price especially during the off peak season.

The clubhouse was worn and dated. Definitely an old Florida vibe.

The layout had some interesting holes but given the conditions and price, I could not recommend this course.

For a municipal public course it’s pretty good. Very long yardage but manageable. The reviews had me a little concerned but tried it anyways. Glad I did had a great time, it was busy and most let me play through just a little better course etiquette from others that may be new to the game but other than that loved it. Proshop stocked pretty good and staff was incredible. Carts in decent shape and beverage cart was pretty efficient.
